Chapter 10: Rosemary vs Zero

"It's time to teach these fairies a lesson!" The white haired mage exclaimed. Seven people were standing behind her. "Make this quick, we don't have all day." She told them.

"Oh don't worry, this'll be quick alright." Storm said.

"Take them out." She said, walking off. "We shall kill you all fast." One of them said. They all had the same metal-like mask on.

Rosemary POV

One of the people came towards me. "I suppose you are my opponent?" I ask, already knowing the answer. "I hope you prove to be a worthy one." He said. "Can I have the name of the person I shall be fighting?" I ask. "I have no name. You can call me zero." He told me. Zero?

"A number? What's it mean?" I asked, trying to get information. "We're all just numbers." Zero said. We're all just numbers. What's that suppose to mean?

Wait.

"You're not human are you?" The mask isn't a mask at all, it's apart of his body. Which isn't technically a body at all. "Smart one you are." He said. "Enough chat, lets fight." He spoke.

"I'm guessing since you're a machine you must fight physically." I said.

"False." He replied.

Huh? That would mean- he uses magic?! That's impossible!

"Heavenly body magic!" Zero called out.

What?! He uses the same magic I use?!

"Meteor!" He zoomed towards me, his fist landing right into my stomach and knocking me to the ground.

"You posses the same magic as I do?" I ask, standing up.

"I posses whatever magic my opponent possess ." I went wide eyed.

So that's it.

I chuckle.

"I have to say, I'm amazed you are able to posses powers at all. Being a machine, you shouldn't have that ability." I say.

"The Akuma guild is very impressive. Thus so are its creations. Like me." Zero said.

"Though I am impressed. If they're relying on such weak demons, then you cannot be any bigger of a threat." I added.

"We'll see about that." He spoke.

"Heavenly body magic! Nine lightening stars, Jiu Leixing!" I yelled.

Lightening then was struck upon Zero.

Lightening should be able to take down any machine.

He was down.

Yes!

"I-is that all you've got?" He said, slowly but surely standing back up.

What?! How?!

"Smart. Using lightening against a machine. But I'm a tough machine, little girl. It'll take more than that to get me down and out." Zero spoke.

He then charged at me.

Huh? He's not using his magic?

I swiftly dodge the incoming punch.

Why did he resort to physical fighting?

Although I don't have a problem with it. I'm curious.

Catching me off guard, his big metal foot, clashed with my shoulder.

Okay! Rosemary! Focus! Remember you're fighting for your friends! Your guild!

Charging towards him, my fist connect with his metal face.

Bad idea! Ouch!

"Damnit." I curse.

He then sent me flying on my back with a right hook to my face.

"Looks like I gotta stick to magic." I whisper to myself, getting back on my feet.

"You should give up now! I will be victorious." He spoke.

I narrow my eyes at him.

"Heavenly body magic! Six consecutive stars, Pleiades!" I shout.

Beams shot up into the sky and soon came hurdling back down, crashing into Zero.

That should do it.

It's quiet.

I must've got him!

"Close. But not quite." His voice spoke.

Sparks were flying around him, he was struggling to stand up but nonetheless, he got up.

I don't understand.

"You're definitely persistent, I'll give you that." I chuckled.

"I've noticed you've stopped using magic. Did I blow a fuse?" I asked.

"Magic or not. I will defeat you." He said, now all the way on his feet.

Silence fell upon us.

But not only ten seconds later, Zero fell backwards. Right back onto the ground.

"Hmm, guess I did blow a fuse." I joked.

I'm really bad at fighting scenes, I'm sorry. <3
