Chapter 3: Time to Fight

"Okay I'm bored." Nashi said. "It's only been five minutes Nashi." Storm replied. "Exactly. And I'm already bored." Nashi said. "I'm gonna go look around, you coming Plum?" Nashi asked. "Aye." Plum said, following behind. "I'll come with." Storm said. "This place is nice. When I was young mom used to tell me the story of how she met dad  every night before bed." Nashi smiled at the memory. "It was and still is my favorite story." She added. "Well if it's that great. Mind if I hear it?" Storm asked kindly. "Sure!" She grinned her toothy grin and began telling her favorite tale.

After the Story

"So your dad took out some dude who was pretending to be him?" Storm asked. "Yup. Took down an entire boat along with him." Nashi added. They laughed at this. "Their story is so fun and adventurous." Plum said with a smile. "Yeah, I hope one day I get the chance to have that kind of adventure." Nashi said. "I'm sure you will! Who knows maybe this job is gonna turn out to be some fun, crazy adventure." Storm said. "I don't even know if I'll be able to touch the demon yet. So I'm not too sure about that." Nashi told him. "Just cause' you might not be able to touch the demon, doesn't mean you can't have any fun." Storm continued the conversation. "We'll just have to see what happens, right?" Storm finished. Nashi smiled. "Right." She said.

8:12pm

"I can't believe it's just now getting dark out." Plum said. Stomp! The ground began to shake and rumble. "That must be it." Reiki said. "Over there." Gale pointed out. "When I give you the signal, you start attacking, got it Storm?" Reiki asked. He nodded, "Got it." He took off to where he could get a perfect shot for when he begun his attacks. The demon was in clear sight. It was rather big, dark gray, it had oddly long and sharp claws from both its hands and feet. It only had one horn coming out from the right side of his head. But his horn was different from his entire body. His body seemed to be skin, but his horn was iron. His bright red eyes darted around the entire town. He was in perfect shot for Storm.

Reiki then lifted his hand up, the back of his hand facing Storm, while having his pointer finger up, and thumb out. This was the signal.

Almost immediately Storm started to attacked. "Ice demon zero fist of destruction!" Storm yelled out as punched the demon. The demon stumbled back, clearly caught off guard. The ice didn't exactly make things any better for the demon. "Ice demon zero destruction bow!" Storm shouted out as pinkish ice arrows shot at the demon. He didn't like this. He growled and started swatting at Storm. But Storm dodged every swat. "Ice demon zero long sword." Storm shouted as he started using his ice sword to attack.

"Okay, our turn to help out!" Reiki announced. "Requip!" Reiki shouted. He then was in his knight armor. He then flung into action. "Solid script! Ice!" Gale shouted. A huge block of ice formed in the word, ice, dropped onto the demon. Causing yet another growl. "If he hates ice, fire would just make it better for him. So what can I do?" Nashi asked herself. "Well, what would Natsu do?" Plum asked her. "If my dad couldn't use his fire, he'd probably eat and then use some other element even though it could hurt him." Nashi said. She then got an idea. "I know what to do!" Nashi said and took off towards the demon. While everyone was fighting the demon, it was a perfect distraction for Nashi. She ran up his arm and onto his head. She latched onto his horn, and chomped away. She's always had super strong teeth.

"Ew, how does uncle Gajeel eat this junk." Nonetheless, Nashi kept eating. "Are you eating his horn? That's iron you baka!" Reiki shouted. Nashi ignored the comment. She stopped eating. "Oh yeah, now I got a fire in my belly! Let's hope this works." Nashi said. "Plum!" Nashi shouted, signaling she needed to be higher up. "Aye!" Plum replied and flew straight to Nashi, flying her above the demon. The demon grew madder and madder and eventually smacked them all off his body. He growled loudly. "Now Nashi, do it now!" Plum exclaimed. Iron and fire fused together inside of her and all around her. "Iron flame dragon, roar!" Nashi shouted, aiming towards the demon. A swirl of the two elements grew and hit the demon head on. He was knocked down almost instantly. "Oh yeah! Go Nashi! You did it!" Plum cheered.

"Wait." Reiki said.

Slowly but surely, the demon began standing up. "That was a brilliant effort, and it was truly amazing Nashi, but still no one can defeat it except Storm. He's the only one with any type of ice magic." Reiki announced. "Thanks for the help  Nashi, you really weakened him for me." Storm smiled at her. "Ice demon zero ice attack!" Storm shouted. Pellets of ice fell from the sky, repeatedly hitting the demon. Ice flew into his mouth. The demon began choking. "I-is he choking on the ice?" Nashi asked. "I think the ice being in his body is killing him." Reiki explained. Soon enough, from the one pellet of ice in his blood system, the demon went down. Almost in a frozen like statue.

Plum flew Nashi to solid ground. That iron must've taken a huge toll on her because as soon as she was placed down, she stumbled over. Storm rushed to catch her before she fell to the ground.

"I gotcha. You okay?" He asked, concerned. "I'm fine. Just...disappointed." A frown was evident on her face. "What? You shouldn't be! That was amazing Nashi! You're a fire dragon slayer and yet you ate iron! Not to mention you used it as if it was your own element." Storm encouraged. "I'm sure if his weakness was fire, you'd be able to take him down with one punch." Storm continued. "Thanks Storm." Nashi then hugged him.

"That was a job well done!" Reiki said, approaching us along with Gale. "We should sleep here tonight and then tomorrow morning we'll collect our reward and go." Reiki told them. They all nodded in agreement. "Also, as amazing as that was Nashi, never do anything that ridiculously stupid ever again." Reiki said sternly. Nashi gulped and nodded. "Yes sir." She said trying to stand up. But she ended up collapsing into Storm. "I got you." He said, lifting her up. "Let's find an inn." Reiki said and started walking. The rest of the group trailed behind.
