Chapter 7: A Real Family?

The team decided to split up through out the building.

Nova went with Reiki and Luke. Both Sylvia and Luke were feeling better after their unison raid, though weaker then the others, still strong enough to fight.

Rosemary and Rin decided they'd go together.

Storm and Nashi were gonna go, just the two of them, with Plum of course. But, Storm wanted to make sure his little sister would be alright, so she decided to come along with them.

Nashi and Sylvia in the same group, yikes.

And Gale decided he'd be perfectly fine going alone. He kind of preferred it that way anyways.

Gale walked through the building, he was in search of s fight. Although he wasn't fond of fighting girls, he was annoyed at the one who tortured them with her whip.

Coincidentally, that's exactly who he ran into.

"I see you've escaped. No matter. We'll still defeat you." She spoke. Gale turned around to face her.

"Whipping us as torture, not cool." Was all Gale said. She chuckled.

"Well it's not supposed to be fun for you. Duh." She said.

"Now, if you'll shut up, I'd like to get to kicking your ass." She said, smirking.
"Bring it on." He grinned.

"Solid script! Iron!" Gale yelled out. A block of iron dropped down almost crushing the girl, but swiftly, she moved out of the way.

She laughed. "Is that the best you got?"

"Shadow god Slayer! Bellow!" She roared. A black cloud rushed towards him, too surprised to dodge, he gets knocked into the wall, creating a huge, Gale shaped whole.

Kurai bi smirks at her job well done.

She thinks it's over but suddenly, Gale crawls out of the wall and stands up.

"Really? After seeing that, you wanna keep fighting me? You fairy tail folk are baka's." She spoke.

"No. Us fairy tail folk, are strong. We don't give up. We fight for what we believe in. We fight for our guild, our comrades. We fight for whatever the hell we want. So, I don't care if you're a God slayer, or a freaking God yourself. I'm not giving up. I'm gonna defeat you one way or another. And, you're gonna learn to never mess with my family again. Never mess with Fairy tail!"

She gasped at his speech, a little taken back.

"Family?" She whispered to herself.

She couldn't believe the trouble he was willing to go through just for his guild mates.

To her, guild mates were just people who help you get what you want and then you leave them. She didn't think of them as a family, or friends.

In all honesty, she didn't even know what a family was.

"Unlike you Akuma people, we're a real family." He finished off.

Kurai bi's mouth gaped open.

"A- real family?" She continued grasped the concept of a real family.

Is fairy tail what a real family is? Does a real family fight for one another instead of use each other.

The thought of a real family excited her.

She realized...

that's exactly what she wanted.

"You win." She spoke softly and got on her knees.

Confusion took over Gale's face. "Huh?" He asked.

He wasn't trying to get her to forfeit, he just wanted her to know who she was messing with.

"A real family. Sounds great. You're lucky to have one. I don't wanna ruin that. So, you win. I give up." It seemed too simple.

He almost didn't believe her.

Until he saw her eyes water over.

He reached his hand out to the black haired girl. "If it's a real family you're looking for, then join ours." He suggested.

She seemed shocked at the offer. "I tortured you and your friends with a whip and you'd still allow me to be apart of your guild?" She didn't understand why he would do that.

"My father used to be a lot like you when he was younger. In fact he was in a guild called Phantom Lord. They were a legal guild, but they were real bad people." He told her.

"Really?" She asked.

"Yeah, but then he got his butt kicked by fairy tail and realized that he belonged with a real family. He belonged with fairy tail." He continued.

"You think I belong?" She asked. "I do." He told her.

She finally took his hand and he helped her up. She smiled and hugged him tightly. "Oh...a hug." Gale wasn't the hugging type.

Actually, physical contact in general was never his favorite.

"If I'm being honest, I'm only apart of this dark guild because my mother is the master." She admitted.

"You mean that white haired, lady is your mother? Oh you poor thing." He said. She chuckled. "Tell me about it." She added onto his joke.

Which honestly wasn't a joke.

"So. What are they planning anyways?" Gale asked.

"They're planning to release their strongest demon yet. He's the fire element demon." She explained.

"So he uses fire?" Gale asked. "No. It means he hates fire." She told him. "Just like that Ice demon we defeated." He was starting to understand. "Exactly." She said.

"They believe that since he's the strongest, he can take out every city, allowing Akuma Guild to rule over everything." She continued.

Gale burst out laughing. "What's so funny?" Kurai bi asked.

"It's just- I cant wait see the looks on their faces when they realize we have a fire dragon slayer on our side." He said between laughters.

Kurai bi was shocked at this discovery.

"Well then this should be a piece of cake, right?" She said.

"When and where are they planning on releasing him?" Gale asked. "In about ten minutes and I think the first town they said was...magnolia." She answered.

"Let me guess, they did that specifically cause' that's the fairy tail guild hall, didn't they?" He asked.

She just nodded.

"Well let's go find the others and get to magnolia as quick as possible." He said and they both rushed off.
