Last Day of Summer

It was the last day of Summer vacation in the small town of Riverdale, and everyone was dreading the next day. Cheryl Blossom, her cousin Betty Cooper, and her best friend Veronica Lodge were at Cheryl's house, having a last day of summer sleepover before their senior year of high school.

"I don't know how you guys aren't excited for school!" said Betty. "You get to see everyone after 3 long months, and it's so fun catching up with everyone!"

Cheryl and Veronica rolled their eyes.

"The only thing I'm excited for is to see if any of the guys got hotter, after Archie and I broke up, I need to find someone new." said Veronica.

Her and Archie had broken up the year before, and she took it really hard.
"Jug and I had an amazing summer! We hung out so much, and had a lot of fun, you know?"

Cheryl sat there thinking to herself, while Veronica and Betty were talking about their boy problems. She had realized this summer, after hiding it for so long. Cheryl Blossom liked girls. She had only brought it up to her mother once before, years ago. They got into a fight, and it ended with her mom threatening to kick her out if she ever had any more "deviant thoughts".

"Oh my God, Cheryl! I have the best idea!"

"Ugh, what is it? I'm busy trying to not think about school."

"Why don't we throw an epic, amazing, end of summer pool party! Right here, right now. Betty and I can go get food and drinks, and you just send out a mass text to everyone! Doesn't that sound awesome?"

Cheryl thought for a minute, and then turned to Veronica,

"Why not? I'm in the mood for chaos."

Meanwhile, in Toni's trailer she sat in her room listening to music, savoring the last day of summer. Her phone buzzed as she got a text from a random number. It was a mass text that said:

"Hello chums. End of Summer pool party TONIGHT: my house, be there at 7. Toodles!😘"

She then texted her best friends Sweet Pea and Fangs:
T: um wtf did u guys just get a text to go to this pool party?
SP: hell yeah! it's at CHERYL BLOSSOM'S house, so im definitely going
T: who tf is cheryl blossom, and why was i invited to her house??
F: cmon topaz just come with us. loosen up a little bit before school tm
T: ugh fine. where does she even live??
SP: that mansion down in the northside
T: .....
F: just come with us. we'll take u
T: kk thanks

When Sweet Pea, Fangs, and Toni got there, the party was already crazy. Half the school was there, and the first thing Toni noticed was a girl with long, red hair, with a bikini on. She was with Betty, someone Toni knew because of Jughead, and a dark-haired girl that Sweet Pea had already gone over to flirt with. Toni decided to join them, and introduce herself to the red-haired girl.

"Hi, um I'm Toni Topaz. You're house is really nice!"

"Thanks I guess."

Toni was the first person Cheryl noticed when she walked in with Sweet Pea and Fangs. She thought to herself

"Wow Cheryl, if you talk to that girl, PLEASE do not embarrass yourself."

Toni and Cheryl looked to their left at the same time, and saw Veronica and Sweet Pea in the pool making out.

"Do you know her?" Toni asked Cheryl.

"Yeah, she's been my best friend for years. Do you know him?

"That idiot making out with your friend? Yeah that's my friend Sweet Pea. Him, Fangs, and I have been close since we were kids."
