The Dance

A couple of days after Cheryl rehearsed her "dance" for the first time, she went to Betty's house to talk about it.

"I still can't believe you're gonna be in the Serpents Cher. It's gonna be so much fun!"

"I know Betty. But I just need your advice on something. The dance. What did you do to get ready for it."

"Well I practiced in front of Jughead first. I don't really want to say what happened after, but.."

"I get it Betty. Same thing for Toni and I. Except after when we were in the room, we got interrupted."

"Oh my God! By who? Please tell me it wasn't Jughead, that would be kinda weird. Wait you guys did it in that room too?"

"Gross Betty. But no it wasn't Jughead. It was Sweet Pea."

"Oh God, even worse. Did you tell Veronica yet?"

Cheryl hesitated before answering her cousin. Her and Veronica had been so close before she met Toni. They told each other everything. Now it felt like they were beginning to drift apart, and Cheryl was sad about that.

"No. I haven't talked to her in awhile. How is she?"

Just then, Betty got a text from Jughead.

"Crap Cher, I have to go meet Jughead. It's actually about your initiation. Just so you know, Jughead and I are going to be watching you dance right?"

"Yeah. I'm more comfortable with you guys than some creepy old guy."

"Cmon Cher, they aren't that bad. Shoot, I forgot I have to go. I'll see you in a couple of days."

"Bye Betty."

The days flew by until the night of her initiation, and she was kind of scared, but weirdly excited. She had gone out and bought a one-piece bright red lingerie set from Victoria's Secret, making sure that it showed off her curves. Her and Toni had to be there at 9:00, but decided to get there early so Cheryl could meet some of the new recruits.

When they got to the Wyrm, they were surprised to only see a couple of other male serpents. They made their way down to the dressing room, and still no one. Another hour went by, and it looked like nobody was going to show up. The, at the last minute, a girl with tan skin and dirty blonde hair walked in. To Cheryl's surprise, she walked right over to them, and started, talking to Toni?

"Hey Topaz how's it going? It's been awhile, why haven't we hung out in so long?"

"Hey Ally! Um we haven't really hung out since I broke up with you." Toni said, confused.

"God! I forgot about that! It seemed like such a long time ago. Anyway, I found a new girlfriend named Gina, but I hope we can still be friends."

Cheryl was getting feisty after this "Ally" girl started to get closer to her girlfriend.

"Cheryl Blossom, pleased to meet you. Status, current girlfriend of Toni Topaz, how can I help you?"

"Babe calm down. Yeah Ally and I dated a long time ago, but clearly I've moved on. I love you now, okay?"

"Okay TT, I love you too. Sorry Ally, I know that was kinda rude."

"It's alright, so you're becoming a Serpent too?"

"Yeah. Wait, do you go to Riverdale High?"

"Well I'm actually starting there after winter break. Do you happen to know a Betty Cooper, because she's giving me a tour."

"Of course I know Betty! She's my cousin and one of my besties, I'm sure I can put in a good word for you."

"Thanks so much! Do you wanna head backstage and get ready?"
