After Cheryl and Toni read the letter from her grandfather, they decided that it would be a good idea to decorate for Christmas. Cheryl always loved the holiday season, because her and Jason would always decorate their tree together. The first thing that Cheryl and Toni did was buy their Christmas tree. It was small, but it was big enough to fill up their trailer.
When they got home, Toni busted out the decorations from a closet. There were a few ornaments, some white string lights, and a star.
"Oh TT, this isn't all of your decorations, is it?"
"Um, it is. Why?"
"Oh this won't even fill up half of the tree! Let me go back to my house and check my basement, and we'll find some more."
Cheryl and Toni rode to Thornhill in her car, and went in the basement through the bulkhead outside. They found a bin labeled "xmas" and loaded it into Cheryl's car.
When they got back and opened the bin, it was filled with fake candy canes, red tinsel, red string lights, and ornaments with Cheryl and Jason's faces on them.
"These decorations are gorgeous Cheryl. Especially this one."
She held up an ornament with Cheryl's yearbook picture from sophomore year, the year Jason died.
"Thanks TT. I think so too." Cheryl laughed.
"Oh what could this be?"
Cheryl pulled out some mistletoe from the large bin, and taped it on the ceiling.
"You know the rules TT. You have to kiss whoever's under the mistletoe."
"I guess it's my lucky day then. I love you Cher."
"I love you too TT."
Cheryl and Toni kissed under the mistletoe, as they were about to spend their first Christmas together. Cheryl had already gone shopping for Toni, the rest of her friends, and her Secret Santa.
Cheryl, Toni, and their friends decided to do a Secret Santa this year. Cheryl had gotten Toni, and she was really excited, because she knew exactly what to get her.
Toni on the other hand, had only gone shopping for Cheryl. She also got some stuff for Sweet Pea and Fangs, but she had to start picking up a few extra shifts bartending at the Whyte Wyrm. She had Jughead for her Secret Santa, and also knew exactly what to get him.
Eventually, the day before Winter Break came. They all passed in their group projects, and headed to the Student Lounge to exchange their gifts.
"Okay guys, I'll go first. Veronica, here you go, I really hope you like it." Kevin said.
He handed her a box, with a charm bracelet inside. It was engraved with her initials "V.C.L"
"Oh my God Kev! I love it, thank you so much. Ok now I guess it's my turn. Cheryl, Merry Christmas."
She gave Cheryl a gift certificate for a couples massage, at the best spa nearby.
"Jesus V, this is amazing! Toni and I really need this. Thanks girl I love you. Alrighty chums, my turn. TT, merry Christmas."
She had gotten Toni a locket with pictures from their first date inside.
"Cher, this is amazing. I love it almost as much as I love you. Thank you."
She gave Cheryl a quick peck on the cheek, before reaching for her gift.
"Ok Jug, merry Christmas, I hope you like it."
She got him a new camera, since he desperately needed an upgrade from his old one.
"Holy crap Toni, this is a nice ass camera. How'd you pay for this?"
"It doesn't matter. Do you like it?"
"Like it? I freaking love it. Thanks dude."
"No problem Jug."
"Ok, my turn. Merry Christmas Kevin. I had to get some advice from Betty, but I think you'll like it."
It was a box of pins to put on your shirt, that all described Kevin. A rainbow flag, a unicorn, and the letter K.
"Oh. Thanks Jughead, These are, cute. Okay, I think Sweet Pea is next."
"Um, Betty. Merry Christmas Betty."
He got her a rose gold watch that had her initials on it.
"I um, I had a little bit of help from Veronica when we um, were together."
"Thank you Sweet Pea. I love it. Okay, I think it's my turn. Josie, this is for you."
She handed Josie a set of essential oils and body lotions.
"I hear this stuff works like magic to help singers ease their nerves, or loosen up their muscles. I thought they would be perfect for you."
"Oh my God Betty! I've literally been wanting these forever, thank you so much! Okay I think It's my turn. Babe, merry Christmas."
She gave Sweet Pea a silver watch with both of their initials on it, and the day they started dating.
"Jeez babe, this watch is sick. Thank you."
"Okay I think that was it for Secret Santa. Looks like it's time to go home. Merry Christmas everyone, and I hope to see you all on New Years Eve at my party." Veronica said as she said goodbye to everyone.
As everyone said their goodbyes, and left school, Toni and Cheryl had already gone home, and were in separate rooms wrapping each others gifts, and listening to their favorite Christmas music. Toni finished her wrapping first, and tried to get a sneak peek at her gifts. Unfortunately, Cheryl was too smart, and she had locked the door. Cheryl was an expert at hiding Toni's gifts, and she had his most of them at Betty's house, too far for Toni to snoop.
Toni had just hid her presents under her bed, hoping that Cheryl wouldn't snoop.
The time came when both of them had finished wrapping, and they put them under the tree, and waited to open them on Christmas Day. Toni was getting really impatient, as she always was, even since she was little. Cheryl on the other hand, never really got impatient with her gifts, because she always got whatever she wanted anyway.
Fast forward to Christmas Eve at 10:30, and Toni had on Elf, her favorite Christmas movie, while Cheryl made peppermint hot chocolate and Christmas cookies. They sat down to watch it, and Toni was shocked that Cheryl had never seen it.
"You've never seen Elf? Okay, what's your favorite Christmas movie then?"
"White Christmas. It's a classic. You can never go wrong with classics."
"Whatever. This hot cocoa is really good by the way. What's your secret?"
"Well TT, if it's a secret, I'm technically not supposed to tell you."
Toni laughed. "Shh the movie's starting."
After they finished their cookies and hot cocoa, they went to bed. They were both very excited for their first Christmas together, and Toni was excited for what she had planned.
