YOU DON'T KNOW

I know that you don't know,

I see it in your eyes,

Your guilty yet innocent eyes,

In your heart.

I can feel it in your voice,

You don't want to know,

You have cried so many times in the night,

You don't want that,

No, not again.

Your heart can't handle it just yet,

It will be crushed by the burden of the truth,

You are afraid,

That the fantasy now will fade away,

You cannot bear the facts,

Cannot bear the pain,

Not after all you had gone through for her,

You wish it could last forever,

No, forever isn't long enough,

But you know you have to let go.

Let her go, let her go.

She does not love you,

Don't blame yourself,

Don't blame her,

She never learnt to love you,

You knew she couldn't,

Be grateful that love grew in your heart.

You may feel crushed,

You may feel without purpose,

But never forget, never ever forget,

That you did the same to another,

And I find it amusing that,

You don't know.
