Phil's POV

One week left.

The clock was ticking in Phil's mind, he was worried he'd stuff something up.

He went into the bathroom for his daily shower, and turned on the water to drown out his pep-talk.

"Just, practice. Practice make p-perfect. But what if he says no? What if I stuff up our whole relationship? W-what if he's so embarrassed he doesn't even want to know me?"

Phil's heart was beating fast and his palms were sweaty.

Phil stepped into the shower and washed, letting the hot water wash the negative thoughts away.

He got out of the shower and got dressed quickly.

"I'll be back soon, Dan!" he called out as he walked down the hall to the front door and shut it behind him.

Dan's POV

I called Louise as soon as Phil was gone.

"Hey Dan," she chirped.

"He went out again... that's the fourth time this week," I said, biting my nails.

"Dan... do you know for sure he's cheating on you?" she asked with a sympathetic tone.

"I-I haven't asked him," I told her, my voice shaking as my eyes filled with water.

"I can ask him if you want — if it's too hard for you," Louise offered.

"N-no, it'll be better if I do," I ran my hand through my curls and blinked the tears out of my eyes.

"Okay, call me if you need any help or just to talk," she said amd I heard Pearl start crying in the background.

"Thank you," I sniffed and pressed the 'end' button.

I coughed to clear my throat and I wiped my eyes, then sat down and hugged myself tightly on the couch and began to browse through memes on tumblr.

Phil's POV (about an hour later)

I had just finished my lesson and walked out of the room when Louise phoned me.

"Hello?" I answered, full of happiness as I hadn't stuffed my routine once in the past few tries.

"Hey, Phil," Louise kind of whispered.

"What's wrong?" I asked, balancing my guitar case on a wall beside me.

"Uh... just... don't... hurt Dan?" she said and it came out as a kind of whisper.

My eyebrows furrowed together as I leant myself against the wall and ran my fingers through my hair, "What do you mean? I— would never hurt Dan!"

She exhaled, "Look, Dan's upset at the momen—"

"Wait what? Why?" I said cutting her off.

Why hadn't he told me he was upset?

"Phil, be careful what you say," she said and hung up.

Why? What? The fuck?

I inhaled a sharp breath and frowned deeper, staring at my blank phone screen.

I opened my phone and sent a quick text to Dan, saying I'd be home in a few minutes and he left me on read.

I picked up my guitar and handed it to the front desk, then walked out to hail a cab.
