(Lily)

Stretching my back I sighed as I rolled over only to realize that I wasn’t alone. Forcing my eyes open I relaxed when I saw CC’s face.

Ever since the guys took me in, CC and I were always hanging out. It was a crazy friendship but we had each other’s backs and for that I was grateful. After having to always look over my shoulder, it was pure bliss to know that someone cared enough to watch out for me.

“Morning,” I yawned. CC grunted as he rubbed his eyes and sit up so he was on his elbows. Smiling I lied back down not ready to leave the bunk just yet.

I was never a morning person; I always seemed to live in my bed now that I think about it. Covering my eyes I remembered that this wasn’t where I fell asleep.

            “CC,”

            “Yeah,”

Peeking out from my fingers u saw his goofy smile, “How did I get into your bunk?”

“Do you honestly think that I would let you sleep on the couch?”

I sighed, “It’s not my damn fault that somebody couldn’t keep quiet.” Lifting my hands off my face CC smiled and raised his eyebrows.

“Honey, I told you at our last pit stop to pick up earplugs.”

Glaring at him I was amazed at how he could keep a straight face and not burst out laughing or crack a smile. He had another skill besides drumming.

“Why didn’t I listen to you again?”

“Because somebody thought I was joking.” I squinted at him, not moving until he finally cracked a smile.

“Yeah well, you’re not. But does he really he someone every other night?” I asked. CC shrugged his shoulders and looked back down at me. He smiled, which worried me, because this wasn’t one of his normal smiles. This was his; I have a plan, smile.  Capturing my hands in his he got the devilish look in his eyes and started tickling me.

“CC!” I screamed out as I started uncontrollably laughing. I was so freaking ticklish it was creepy. Laughing as well CC moved faster, his hands never staying in one ticklish spot for long as I tried to get to safety outside of the bunk. Of course I was falling because he wouldn’t stop, not even for a moment.

After what felt like forever he finally stopped, giving me an innocent smile as I laid there gasping for air. Sucking in the air I tried to get my breathing under control before he could attack me again.

But he didn’t, he just stared at me.

His gaze had soften and he was smiling again, but he smiled like how would smile at someone that you loved.

“CC,” I whispered. Pulling my hands out of his I sat up so I was on my elbows, trying to focus on something different.

“Yeah, Lilith?” My eyes widened as he used my full name. Nobody had called me that in a long time.

“I think you need to let me out,” I said. Squeezing my eyes I thought, God please don’t let CC like me, please don’t. He couldn’t like me, he just can’t. I didn’t want the pain that came along with loving someone. Not after everything that’s happened.
