But anyways I hope you like this and don't forget to comment and vote, I love seeing what you guys have to say. Okay Rebels I shall see you later!
(Ashley)
Coughing I ran my hand over my face and stretched my back out as we sat in the waiting room for news on Lily. It happened so fast nobody knew what to do; it was like when we learned about Raven being hospitalized. Panicked and rushing to get to one place that we never want to go to.
Hearing the plastic chair next to me screech I felt an arm go around my shoulders and someone lean their head against mine.
"You okay Ashley?"
I snorted and looked at Raven. "Do I look okay?"
Raven winced and immediately I felt bad. She was just worried and I shoved it backed into her face.
"I'm sorry,"
"It's alright; I didn't really pick the best thing to say." Raven said, leaning back. Sighing I followed suit and looked around. The room had blue plastic chairs against each wall with a small brown table littered with month old magazines. The room was painted a pale teardrop blue and we all stood out in our black gear. Leaning his weight on his forearms and knees Jinxx flipped through one of the women magazines and CC played with the plotted plant in the corner while Andy and Jake were on their phones.
Andy sat the closest to me and I couldn't help but notice that his leg was shaking a mile a minute. Elbowing him I got his attention.
"You okay?" I asked repeating Raven's words. It was ironic, it was a question that everyone was brutally honest with or completely lied to.
Andy gave a tight smile but glanced over to Raven and momentarily his eyes flicked down to her bracelet covered wrists before landing back to me. "Yeah, bad memories, that's all, you?" His voice was tight and soft and I could tell he wanted to hold Raven.
"As good as I can get." I replied. He nodded and looked back down at his lap no longer focusing on his phone but now on the brick flooring tile. Licking my chapped lips I tapped Raven who looked at me concerned.
"Go visit with Andy, he needs you right now," I whispered. Leaning slightly forward her gaze immediately softened and traces of guilt were evident on her face now. Standing she crossed the short distance and taking his phone out of his hands sat down on his lap. Sitting up Andy pulled her against him as he placed a chaste kiss to her lips before locking his arms around her waist and resting his head on her chest. Raven ran her fingers through his hair and I looked away. I couldn't help but feel like I was intruding in on a private moment between the two even though we all knew why Andy hated going to hospitals now.
"Lilith Hart?" Standing we turned to the middle aged doctor who smiled at us.
"How is she?" I asked, more nervous than anything.
The doctor led us out of the waiting room and down a hallway. "She's perfectly fine; she just had a syncope spell." Confused I looked at Jake who was equally confused and he was the health nut in our band. Turning around the doctor saw our expressions and continued.
"Syncope is another way of saying fainting, or losing consciousness for a short time. It can be caused by a lot of things but sometimes it can happen to someone who is perfectly fine like Lilith. Her spell lasted only a few minutes which is good."
"Do you know what caused her to pass out though?" CC asked.
"Like I said there are many things that could have cause it, stress anxiety, fear, intense emotional stress and even hunger to just name a few. It could have been anything but we've found nothing except that she is under weight." CC nodded and I couldn't help but be relieved that the doctors found nothing major. "She's awake if you would like to see her, and I'll have a nurse bring you the discharge forms for her to fill out when you're ready." With that he left.
Standing in front her door I couldn't help but be nervous again. We were fighting when she passed out, screaming at each other. It was my fault that she passed out; it's my fault that she's here in the hospital.
Pushing me out of the way Raven opened the door and walked straight into the room sitting next to Lily on one of the chairs. Her blond hair was down creating a veil around the sides of her face. He knees were pulled up under the blanket as she encircled her arms around her legs. She smiled as we filed into the room.
"Hey," Lily whispered. Her voice was very soft as if she had just woken up. Her voice made me think of waking up in the mornings with her curled up against me under a million blankets to stay warm.
"Hey Lily," everyone settled down in the chairs but I stayed standing against the wall. I didn't deserve to be here, it's my fault she's even here.
"How do you feel?" Jinxx asked.
"Okay, a little tired. I just really want to get out of here." The guys nodded as Lily rubbed her eyes with her arm that wasn't hooked up to anything. It was quiet and I couldn't help but notice that once again we all stood completely out in this white colored room.
"It's a good thing that Ashley was there when you passed out Lily or you could have really hurt yourself." Raven said, completely out of the blue. Lily looked up, her eyebrows scrunched together as she tried to remember. Andy gave Raven a look as if he was telling her not to do something, but Raven ignored it.
"Yeah, I guess so," Lily replied, not even looking at me. It was quiet again as no one had anything to say. After a while CC pushed back and stood.
"Alright motherfuckers, I'm starving so who wants to join me on the hunt for the cafeteria or a vending machine?" CC stared at Jake and Jinxx who after a while got the hint to stand. I started to move but CC came over to me.
"You're staying because Lily and you are going to finally sort your guy's shit out." He whispered. Turning around he smiled and the three of them left leaving Andy and Raven. Lily looked confused but shrugged it off.
"Raven and I are going to take a walk, okay?" Andy didn't wait for an answer as he locked hands with Raven and left the room as well. You could hear a pin drop after the door banged shut.
"Are you going to leave too?" Lily asked quietly. She was so quiet that I had to strain my ears to hear her.
Never, I thought. "No," I said hoping my voice sounded calm and not like how I was feeling. Pushing off the wall I sat where Raven once was and looked at Lily. Her blue eyes seemed exhausted and were dim. It looked as if someone just sucked the happiness right out of her and that made me mad. Seeing her like this killed me, it's not who she is. Not thinking about it I pulled my chair as close to the bed as I could get and picked up her hand. Lily watched my fingers move around her hand and soon enough she laid her head on top of her knees just watching me. I couldn't help but smile, she looked so much younger than she did earlier today.
Lily took her hand out from mine and immediately the smile I had faded. Already I felt cold and empty. Looking down I made my hands into fists and cracked my sore knuckles, ashamed and not knowing why. Swallowing I blinked back the tears that for some reason made their way to my eyes.
"Ash?" Lily whispered. Lifting my gaze to hers I saw her shocked reaction.
"I'm sorry," I whispered. This was my entire fault.
She shook her head and to my surprise put her hand to my face. Closing my eyes I could feel a few tears fall but I focused on Lily and her hand that wiped them away. Slowly her hand made its way to my hair before I captured it back into mine and placing it on my cheek. I kept holding onto her hand as I leaned into it. Her skin was so soft.
"Why do you do this to me," She asked. Opening my eyes I could see that hers were starting to fill with tears as she looked at me in wonder.
"Do what?" I whispered. Our voices stayed soft, almost as if our normal ranges would ruin everything.
"Make me feel this way," She whispered back, "Make me feel special and important. You make me confused and mad at the same time and yet I'm never mad at you for a very long time. Why Ashley?"
I knew she was being honest and yet it scared me. Looking away I swallowed the lump that was in my throat and answered her. "I don't know Lily, but can I tell you something?"
She nodded her head, intertwining our fingers as well.
"I feel the same way, and it scares me too."
