(Lily)

Raven wasn’t lying about the tour bus at all.

There it was parked, the black paint shining the name Black Veil Brides written in silver seemed to glitter in the sun. It was big, and it was real. Walking into the bus my mouth dropped open as I saw the inside. There was a flat screen television on the wall, a mini kitchen on one end, a mini living room that led to the bunk room. Past that was a small bathroom. Raven led me back to the mini living room which I noticed had drum sticks sticking up in a chair along with a bass and a few guitars in the corner.

“Let me take your stuff so you wash up,” Raven rested her hand on my shoulder lightly as I nodded my head. Setting my stuff down I let her lead me back to the bathroom and explain which knobs had what water. Once she left I stripped down trying not to look at my unhealthy body but instead how lucky I was at the moment.

Getting in I almost moaned, honestly I think I did. The water was like heaven on my skin. It was as if the water was washing away every bad thing that’s happened in the last three years. Leaning against the wall I could help but stand there as the hot water hit me, finally relaxing. Smiling I held my hand open cupping the water as it filled my hands before splashing my face.

Once I finally felt like I was free of the dirt, I only shampooed my hair like three times, I got out. Putting my hair up turban style I jumped into my clothes slipping on a stylishly cut up grey shirt and proceeded to brush my hair with the brush Raven lent me. Smiling at my reflection I would out, my feet curling at the cold tiles before it turned back to carpet.

Standing in the bunk area I could see Raven talking to a short guy with red hair. After a few words he left pulling his cellphone out. He looked stressed out but even from here you could see the laugh lines that sat next to his eyes.

Carefully walking out and on to a couch I waited for Raven curling my legs under my body, not really sure what to do. Once I heard the patter of her feet I looked up only to smile as I saw the plates she held.

“Oh you’re out. I made us some lunch; I hadn’t eaten yet and thought you would like to join me when you got out.” She smiled as she handed me mine and sat next to me mumbling something about CC leaving his drum sticks out in dangerous ways. Shrugging my shoulders I slowly ate now wanting to look greedy or as hungry as I felt.

“Hey, Raven,” I said looking away from the TV that she had turned on, “Thanks for bringing me here and letting me eat and use your shower. I’m thankful and all but, why are you doing this? I know when I was your age I couldn’t see myself doing this for someone and knowing them.” I looked down at my lap then trying not to feel guilty.

Feeling her hand on my shoulder I looked up.

“First off, you are welcome. Second, I’m doing this because unlike all these fakes that passed by you while you played, I cared. I cared about the fact that you haven’t had a decent meal in a long time. I care that you are exhausted, and I care because it’s just who I am. As my boyfriend would put it, I care a little too much sometimes.” She smiled and I couldn’t help but think about how lucky he was to have someone like Raven.

I gave her a smile and whispered, “Thank you.”

Her smile grew as she gave me a hug surprising me. Shocked I hugged her back, happy that someone really did care. Pulling back I couldn’t help but notice the duct tape sitting on an end table.

“Hey Raven,” I asked, “Can I borrow that duct tape?”  Looking at it she nodded reaching for it as I unlocked my case and carefully place my guitar in the seat next to me. Catching on Raven helped taped the side that was cracked.

“If you don’t mind me asking, but how old are you?”

“Twenty two, what about you?” I asked, wrapping the tape around once more.

“I just turned eighteen a couple weeks ago, let me go get some scissors,” Nodding my head I smoothed the creases, not having to wait long to hear her walking back. But her footsteps sounded heavier than they did before.

“Who the hell are you?” Glancing behind me four men clad in black with long hair except the one in front stood behind me. Saying that I wasn’t scared was shit talking; these guys were easily stronger than me. The smile that was one my face moments ago vanished now.

May I repeat that these were four grown men that looked like bikers, scary, mean, huge ass bikers.

“Who are you?” I looked at their biker boots, too afraid to look them in the eyes.

“Okay Lily, after this do you want to, oh fuck.” Raven stood next to the entrance of the bunks and living room looking back and forth between the guys and me.

Short haired guy looked at her, “What’s going on Raven?”

“You weren’t supposed to be back for a couple hours.” I studied Raven’s face and noticed that she had a guilty look. They weren’t supposed to know I was here I concluded.

“We finished early, what’s going on?” Raven looked back and forth before fully coming into the room. Putting a hand on my shoulder I looked up as she smiled.

“Guys, this is Lily, Lily, these are the guys.”
