My Bestfriend's Girlfriend (JhoBea)

Part Eleven

"Jiaaaaaa, sama na kasi ako sayo." Bea, tugged Jia's shirt.

"Babe, matagal nga kasi yung meeting namin ni papu." Jia reasoned.

Jia has another meeting with the coaches of the Thai club. She's making up reasons for Bea because the latter wants to be with her but obviously, Jia hasn't told Bea yet about the contract.

I settled on our sofa watching Jia being tailed by Bea wherever she goes. Sa totoo lang, nahihilo na rin ako sa dalawang to.

"Anong meeting ba yan?"

Jia looked at me. "Uh, some business stuff and papu wants me there kasi he wants me to be involved as soon as now in our business."

"That's a first. You never wanted to be involved in your business." Bea said.

That's true. Laging pinipilit ni tito si Jia sa business nila pero si Jia sa volleyball talaga ang puso niya.

"People change." Palusot naman ni Jia. I had to chuckle with her reason.

"Eh di I'll hang around there na lang and wait for you." Bea pouted.

Jia held both of Bea's cheeks. "Babe.. I don't want you to get bored. Matagal yun and who knows baka papu wants me to go home for a bit and be with them. You know naman how busy the past few days that I havent went home."

"Eh di I'll hang around your house with you and your family. Ok lang naman yun kay tito, diba?" Bea said.

"Ayaw mo lang ata ako kasama eh." Bea pouted more.

Jia sighed and looked at me again, asking for help.

"Nako, hayaan mo na muna magbonding sila Jia at sina tito. Bumabawi pa yang si Jia eh, nagtatampo kasi sina tito." Sabi ko naman.

I am busy on my phone but I felt na napatingin sakin si Bea.

"Nagtatampo si tito?" Bea asked.

Jia squinted her eyes on me with the reason I made up. I'm sorry, ok? Wala na ako masabing iba.

"Uh yeah, kinda kasi nga I have no time for them for the past weeks.." Bea was silenced.

"Ipaubaya mo na sakin tong day na'to babe, ha. Babawi ako sa mga susunod na araw." I heard Jia say pero si Bea ay hindi pa rin umiimik.

"Samahan mo na lang kaya muna ngayon si Jho..."

Napatingin ako kina Jia at Bea na nakatingin din sakin. What?! Pinanlakihan lang ako ng mata ni Jia.

"San ka punta, Jho?" Bea asked.

"Uh.... saan na nga ba ako pupunta?" Hindi naman kasi ako handa sa pagkukunwaring to. Ano ba yan, Jia.

"Sa mall.. di ba..." Jia said and nervously laughed.

Bea looked at Jia, confused.

"Ano ba yan, makakalimutin ka na Jho. Mukhang kailangan mo talaga siyang samahan, Bea." Jia said.

"Ano ba meron sa mall?" Bea looked at me with her brows raised.

I looked at Jia. Hindi ko alam ang sasabihin. Help.

I cleared my throat. "Uh.. mamimili lang."

"Yeah, help her shop para di ka mabored ngayong araw at para di na mahirapan si Jho. Alam mo naman, tumatanda na rin siya.."

Sinamaan ko naman ng tingin si Jia. "Hoy grabe ka."

Bea laughed then she looked at Jia. She sighed. "Last push, di talaga ako pwede sumama sayo?"
