My Bestfriend's Girlfriend (JhoBea)

Part Twenty One

Two weeks.

That's how long it has been since I've been avoiding Bea. Of course, I do still see her once in awhile tuwing hinahatid at sinusundo ko si Jaja sa compound nina Bea.

Doon pa rin kasi sila nagtetraining.

But not just like the first time they trained there na nagstay ako to watch them, for the next days, aalis na ako agad. Minsan nga, I leave before pa dumating si Bea.

Jaja is right. Baka nga the closeness that Bea and I have would lead to something dangerous pa.

When I say dangerous, might be deeper feelings for her would be developed and that I wouldn't be able to recover or I might get hurt more realizing that we can't really be together.

Those stuff.

And.. I wanted to preserve my friendship with Jia. I don't want to be unfaithful to her as her bestfriend in any way, consciously or not, sinadya man o hindi.

So for the past few days, I've been keeping myself busy but mostly I stay in our condo just like right now. I am keeping myself busy watching movies.

I admit namimiss ko yung bond namin ni Bea. For the days that we were hanging out, I got to prove that she gives a good company.

I don't know if she notices though that I am avoiding her but I don't think so kasi hindi rin naman daw ako hinahanap kay Jaja or natatanong man lang. Wala rin akong nakukuhang messages mula sakanya.

Of course, I expected a bit but yeah...

Hay.

I tried to concentrate with the movie that I am watching when I received a text from Jaja.

Ate, kasama ko si ate Bea. Paakyat na kami ngayon sa condo.

Bigla naman akong kinabahan. I stood up and was pacing back and forth, didn't know what to do.. until I decided to jump on my bed and pretend to be asleep.

It took a few moments until I heard them open the door. "Thanks, ate sa paghatid. Uh, pasok ka pa ba?" I heard Jaja say.

"I'll just greet a quick hi to Jho na lang.. where is she?"

"Uh.." Narinig ko naman sila sa may sofa.

"Nakabukas pa 'tong TV niya ah." Bea laughed.

Face palm. Sa pagmamadali ko nakalimutan kong i-off yung TV.

"Sandali baka nasa kwarto niya."

I covered my whole body with my sheets as I heard Jaja enter my room. "Ate?"

I didn't move.

"Ate.." She called once more.

After a few moments ay lumabas na rin siya sa kwarto ko. "Ate Bei, natutulog eh."

I heard Bea chuckle. "Si Jho talaga. Sige, I'll go ahead. Hi mo na lang ako sakanya."

I stayed on my position until I felt a move shift on my bed.

"Lumabas ka na jan, wala na siya." Jaja said.

I went out of the comforter. Man, I'm sweating rn.

"Alam mo mukha kang tanga..."

"Alam ko pero hindi ko alam bakit nanaman?" I raised my brow on her.

"Sabi ko sayo iwasan mo or bawasan mo yung time mo with her, hindi ko sinabing taguan mo."

"Ja, marupok nga ako diba? Yung pag-iwas, it won't help, I need to fully get rid of her kung gusto ko talagang mawala tong feelings ko sakanya." Sabi ko naman.
