The next thing I new I was waking up, in a unfamiliar bed and feeling, something hugging me on my left.
I was in a hospital. It was morning. I could see Mina resting her head on my arm and I couldn't help but smile at her concern.
I lightly stroked her hair and saw Marlo in a chair reading something next to me.
"On your left" I said as a call back.
Marlo just smiled.
2 months had gone by and it honestly seems like Historia would rather run an orphanage than a kingdom.
She helped all sorts of people underground which I'm grateful for.
What really interests me was Kenny Ackerman, what he wanted. Levi didn't really look happy about killing him or at least that's what I heard.
Annie and I decided to visit his grave to see it also to see the bunch of other scouts who gave there lives in battle... I wish I could've saved them.
Annie has met Kenny in the past so this made the grave visit all the more interesting.
"So you've experienced something like this before?" Levi asked walking up to us.
"You get used to it" I said referring to all this death.
"I was also gonna go discuss our next meeting about retaking Wall Maria, as a Captain your also invited" Levi said.
"There's something I gotta do first" I said.
"What about you Annie? Anything come back yet?" Levi asked.
"Not anything important... Besides I've become more of a soldier than a spy now a days" Annie said.
"Alright than..." He said shaking our hands.
"Don't make me regret this" Levi said before walking away.
"You should be honored" A voice from behind said. The two of us turned around and saw Petra walking up to us with a bright smile on her face.
"That's about as close as he gets to saying thank you" Petra said.
I smiled.
"Not going with him?" I asked.
"Nope"
"Not staying here?"
"Nah..." Petra said through out the course of these 2 months I convinced Petra to quit the scouts to put her family at ease, settle down maybe find some romance.
"I got more free time on my hands I gotta figure out what to do" Petra said.
"That might take awhile" I said.
"I'm counting on it..." Petra said handing my a folder "That thing you asked for I called in a couple favors from the interior and training corpse... Will you do me a favor? Make those bastards pay" Petra said.
"I plan to... But then what?" I asked.
"Stick with Mina... She's nice..." Petra said suddenly getting closer and kissing me on my cheek. It ain't easy being pretty.
Petra than walked away but gave me warning.
"Be careful guys ... You might not wanna pull on that thread" Petra said.
I opened the folder and it revealed files relating to Reiner Berthold... And Louise.
"Your going after them..." Annie asked.
"You don't have to come with me" I said.
"I know..." Annie said "When do we start?"
