40 Guilt

No casualties on the way back to the wall. Back in trost we were given a resting place and, the next morning, I could hear Mikasa crying in her room.

I peaked in a saw her curled up in her bed crying on her arms.

"Mikasa?" I asked trying not to scare her.

She lifted her head looked at me and than looked away.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"It's my fault Hannes died" Mikasa said in a very depressed tone.

"That's not true" I said.

"Really? Who else had ODM and didn't do anything?" Mikasa asked.

I walked up to her and sat beside her on her bed.

"I should've been there to help long before Eren started biting himself... I was just too busy fighting Ymir... It's on me" I said.

"It's on both of us" Mikasa said.

I shook my head and thought.

"It's this job....We do our best to save as many people as we can... Sometimes that doesn't mean everyone... But if we can't find a way to live with that, than maybe...next time.... Nobody gets saved" I said.

Mikasa looked at me and nodded in agreement with a small smile. I was always there to help out a friend.

Timeskip

In my room, I was writing about the current invents that had unfolded in my journal.

3 of our friends were Titans. I managed to protect my real friends, and I'm happy about that but now that it's over, why do I feel so uncertain about things. I heard a knock on my door and got up. I opened it to see Mina someone who'll I'll never be uncertain of.

After everything, I was just so glad she safe. She smiled and hugged me without even saying a word.

I hugged her back and pulled her into my room.

Mina kicked the door shut and looked into my eyes.

I cupped her cheeks leaned in and kissed her lips. She was shocked but instantly melted into it wrapping her arms around my neck deepening the kiss. It was short but had a lot of emotion.

I pulled back and looked Mina in the eyes.

"I love (Y/N), I always have. You have no idea how long I've waited to do that" Mina said smiling. Mina's blush was pink and she was so adorable.

"Since the first day I met you Mina... I loved you and I still do" I said holding her hand.

"I love you too. I wanna be with you forever" Mina said.

We kissed again but this time got more intimate. I could feel my hormones taking over and judgeing from the blush on her face, she clearly wanted this too.

We began tounge kissing and I picked Mina up feeling her wrapped her legs around my waist.
