Chapter 16

Two weeks later

Sadhbh was getting ready for her first day back at work since before the hospital she took a bit of extra time off but the longer she put it off the more nervous she got. She finished getting ready and drove to work when she was in the lift she started to mess with the hem of her jacket but stopped once she reached her floor and put on her professional look.

As soon as the doors open she is shocked by what she sees.

"Welcome back Sadhbh"

"Aww you guys"

The guys walk to the front and Michael pulls her into a hug

"Great to have you back at work Sadhbh"

"You won't be saying that for long Mike I'm going to be tough on you four"

David walks up to her just as she pulls away from the hug

"It's great to see you at work again Sadhbh"

"Great to be back David"

"Now that you're back, you are back in charge of the boys I'm not dealing with them any longer"

"That bad are they"

"Yes, especially when they are sick with worry and can't get anything done"

Sadhbh turns around and glares at them

"You four are going to have a lot of catching up to do, why didn't you keep on schedule"

"Well you got really sick we were worried about if you were going to make it or not and work just kinda lost our interest"

"Calum I appreciate your concern but what about the fans"

"They would understand"

"Understanding​ or not it's not happening again unless it's for extremely good reasons okay"

"Okay"

"Good, so now that everything is about back on track, what are we doing first"

"You're gonna get those for back​ on track I've gotten them so far but I'm going to leave the rest of it to you"

"Brilliant thanks boss"

"How many times do I have to say just call me David before you completely​ stop saying boss"

"Sorry but that's not going to be completely whipped out"

David smiles at her comment

"It's great to have you back Sadhbh"

"Well if you all don't mind I'm going to get to work have a lot to do"

Everyone chuckles and they all get back to their work

"5sos meeting room, David are you free now for a meeting"

"Yes but only for an hour"

"Perfect, I only need at max fifty just need to know everything that happened when I was gone regarding 5sos"

"You don't hesitate to jump straight back into it do you"

"I've been gone long enough I need to jump back in and catch up"

A few hours later and Sadhbh is finished work and on the way home she gets a call from Michael but she let's it ring out when she gets home she gets out of the car and heads in Michael calls again but gets no answer because she left her phone in the car. Ashton then calls her but he gets the same Michael straight away followed by Ashton go over to her house they walk in the door

"Sadhbh"

"Hey Mikey, hey Ash"

"Are you okay"

"Yeah, why"

"You weren't answering you're phone"

"Aww shoot I was driving when you called, I must have left my phone in my car"

"Oh, that's grand I thought you were ignoring me"

She walks closer to Michael

"Now why would I ignore my boyfriend"

Michael leans in and kisses her, she doesn't hesitate to kiss back he places his hands on her hips he notices how she's skinnier Sadhbh immediately pulled back feeling insecure

"You okay Sadhbh"

"Uh yeah all good"

Ashton looks over at Sadhbh

"Sadhbh can I talk to you for a second"

"Uh yeah sure"

Ashton walks outside and Sadhbh follows

"What's up Ashton"

"Are you okay, you don't really seem like yourself"

Sadhbh looks down to the ground

"I'm not going to tell anyone, I'll leave that in the unknown I don't really want people knowing"

"We aren't going to judge you for being insecure Sadhbh, and we sure as hell won't judge you because you're skinnier than before"

"How did you know"

"Because it was obvious when Michael placed his hands on you're waist you pulled away straight away"

"I don't like being like this, I feel like a porcelain doll that I'm easily broken and bruised it's horrible I hate it"

"You won't be like that forever you know"

"You never know I could be, but at the same time you are right"

"You're looking at both sides of it aren't you"

"Yes, Ashton I have to because as it stands I'm easily prone to getting sick at the moment anything could happen I have to look at both the positive and the negative because I need to be prepared for what happens"

"I understand that but please don't be constantly looking at the negative side"

"I'll try not to"

Michael comes out because their conversation was taking awhile

"Is everything okay"

"Yeah all good"

"Okay great I was just worried something might have happened"

"Mike if something had happened I would have screamed for help you know I wouldn't let any harm come to Sadhbh"

"Aww thanks Ashton"

"Anytime Sadhbh"

The three of them all walk inside and re-join the others they all have a skit and a laugh while Sadhbh lingers in the background​ trying to hide her attempts of disconnect from them and it worked they guys didn't realize apart from Michael he was worried about her especially after the way she reacted when they were kissing. Michael goes up to Sadhbh and guides her away from the group so they could talk in peace.

"Sadhbh are you okay"

"Honestly no I'm terrified of what is going to happen next"

"Don't be I'm going to help you through this, we are going to get through this together I promise"

Sadhbh smiles

"You just saying that makes it seem like less of a problem already"
