Frank picked up Gerard who pointed in the direction of the bathroom while giggling to himself. Once they were in the bathroom, Frank turned the taps on and waited until the bath had filled up with water. He turned around to see Gerard in just a pair of pink panties rummaging through the cupboard under the sink looking for something. His bum was pushed up into the and was wiggling slightly as he searched. Frank felt his face turn the same shade as a tomato, he couldn't deny that Gerard sure had a cute body.
"What are you looking for Princess?" Frank asked Gerard who turned around blushing and holding three rubber ducks. One was your stereotypical plain yellow bath duck, one was purple and had a tiara on and the third was pale pink and had a pig snout and ears. Frank chuckled to himself quietly.
"Let's get you in the bath," Frank said and Gerard nodded. He dumped the three ducks into the water and shimmied his way out of his panties. Frank looked away to respect Gerard's privacy although he honestly would've preferred not to. Then Gerard grabbed onto Frank to keep himself balanced while he climbed into the tub. Frank then washed Gerard's hair with his strawberry scented shampoo.
It wasn't long until Frank and Gerard were cuddled up in Gerard's bed. Frank was still dressed in his clothes from that day and Gerard was wearing his favourite pink onesie. Gerard took a deep breath and gulped.
"I think you're really pretty," Gee mumbled around his paci.
Frank smiled. He to the pacifier from Gerard's mouth and placed it on the night stand by his bed.
"I think you're really pretty too," Frank replied.
Gerard smiled contently and curled up into Frank's arms. Nell was tucked in Gerard's arms as he fell asleep. Frank watched the sleeping Gerard for a bit, not wanting to wake him up just as he was falling asleep. Eventually, he got up, gave the sleeping boy a kiss on the forehead and took Gerard's paci through to the living area, placing it on the coffee table. He sat down on the sofa playing games on his phone for hours until he heard a crying noise from Gerard's room.
Gerard woke up in a cold sweat. Again. It wasn't the same nightmare this time though. He let out a cry, pulling himself out of bed and trailed into the living area to get his paci. He knew his brother would still be at work so he didn't have to worry about trying to be quiet. However, he didn't that Frank was sat up waiting for Mikey to get home to make sure that Gerard was safe and sound. When he saw Frank sitting on the sofa, he tried to go back to his room without being noticed but Frank had already seen him.
"Come here baby boy," Frank said, standing up and holding his arms out. Gerard rushed into the hug, tears still rolling down his cheeks. After what was probably only a few minutes, but felt to Gerard like only a few seconds, they both pulled away from the hug. The crying boy made his way to the kitchen, Frank following him close behind. Gerard opened the fridge and pointed at the preprepared bottles of milk, put together for times like these. Frank grabbed one and walked over to the microwave to heat up the milk. Once the milk was warmed, they went back to Gerard's bed where Gerard pressed his head into Frank's shoulder and started crying again. So Frank picked Gerard up like he was an actual baby and rocked him while he was drinking his milk. Frank could feel his arms grow tired but didn't dare put Gerard down, he didn't want to risk him having another nightmare.
It wasn't long, only about half an hour, before Mikey got back home from work. He was exhausted and ready to just collapse onto his bed and sleep forever but he just needed to check on his big brother first. The last thing he was expecting to see was an equally exhausted Frank rocking Gerard as he slept.
"He had a nightmare," Frank explained in a whisper as he continued to rock the sleeping boy.
"Another!" Mikey exclaimed, also in a whisper. Neither one of them wanted Gee to wake up.
"What do you mean another?" Frank asked.
"That's the thirty fifth night in a row!" Mikey said.
Frank was shocked, Ho couldn't imagine how hard on Mikey that had to be. Working until unholy hours of the morning then having to sort out his crying brother before finally getting to go to bed only to have to get up ridiculously early to walk the hour long walk to school.
"I'll talk to my mom, she works in pastoral support at the school, and see if she can get him to talk about this. Now off you go to bed, you must be exhausted," Frank said.
Mikey nodded.
"Thank you Frank, thank you so much," Mikey said and with that he left the room to go to his own bed.
Finally, Frank placed Gerard down on the bed and climbed in next to him, falling asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.
