Gerard bounded out of the front of school, his shoe laces twisted into what could only be described as a pathetic attempt at a bow.
After letting Gee sleep for a couple of hours, Frank had unfortunately been forced by Mrs Iero to wake the boy up. In her words, 'as important as rest is, your education must come first. The night is for sleeping not the pastoral support office'. Frank couldn't really argue and the two boys separated off to go to their next lessons. But not before Frank had a chance to explain that Gee would be going back to his after school, informing his mother just as much as Gerard.
Standing outside the front of school leaning against a post, Frank waited for Gee, his attention was split between Mikey who was complaining about how little help the teacher he had gone to find that morning had been and the game of candy crush on his phone. The two boys barely noticed Gerard approaching until he had reached them and flung himself at Frank.
"Woah," Frank exclaimed, slipping his phone into his back pocket and wrapping his arms around Gee's waist, lifting the now giggling boy off of the ground as he hugged him tight. "Did you have fun in gym?"
Gerard didn't reply verbally, instead opting to just shrug his shoulders one released from the hug and attaching himself to his younger brother. Tightly, his arms wrapped around Mikey's chest, his cheek pressed against his shoulder and the younger stood there awkwardly, waiting for Gee to let go so they could head off.
Sensing that Mikey was impatient to get back home and prepare for what was inevitably going to go down for him tonight, Frank tapped on Gee's shoulder causing him to release his brother and instead attach himself to Frank's hand as Frank led the way towards his car.
The drive back to the Ways' home was in silence. Gerard was almost vibrating in excitement at the thought of hanging out with Frank the whole way.
When the small royal blue car pulled outside the Way's apartment building, Mikey was the first the get out of the backseat of the car, letting Frank unplug Gee and help him out. The nerves caused by what he was going to have to say were beginning to eat away at his insides, making his head swirl in the most unpleasant manner.
"Mikey, are you okay?" Frank asked, picking up on how abnormally pale the boy had become.
"Just fine," Mikey replied, brushing it off as best he could. "A little nervous, but I'm fine."
Ahhh! I'm sorry! I was really trying with this book but I've been caught up in stuff!
Would you guys prefer longer chapters less frequently or shorter chapters more frequently?
So I've been caught up in writing this original book that I hope to get published in the future. However, I'm really bad at editing my own work so if anyone would like to have a look at it please just message me! Also, would anyone be interested in me pubishing it to Wattpad when it's a bit more done?
Sorry it's short, I'll try and write more for next time.
Stay safe,
V
