Okay, so as you know, I met Sebastian Stan on Saturday. I live three hours away from Chicago in Indiana. It was by far the best day of my life, but I got a really rough start on Saturday morning.
Quick fact: My photo op was at 12:50 and I had to be there an hour early (I don't know why, that's just what the email told me).
My friend, Amanda; her mom; and I were going to take the train from Indy up to Chicago. The train left at 6 AM and it was an hour away. I woke up at 4 AM only to find out that the train is delayed until 8:30 AM. The train ride is 5 hours, which means I would miss my photo op. Luckily we got refunded for our tickets and we just hopped in the car and drove to Chicago.
We make it to Chicago at 10 AM and check into our hotel. We spend an hour getting ready before we leave for the convention center. The drive to Rosemont from Chicago is 20 minutes. We leave at 11. BUT OF COURSE TRAFFIC IS A PAIN IN THE BUTT.
We miss the hour early point and we're stuck on the exit at 12:30. We can even see the convention center but we haven't moved at all. At this point I totally thought I was going to miss my photo op. My friend's mom, I LOVE HER, she let my friend and I get out and run down a grassy slope to the sidewalk. We jogged to the convention center which was about 1/4 of a mile. We got registered and THANK GOD I MADE IT EXACTLY AT 12:50 AND I GOT IN TO THE PHOTO OP.
I stood in line for a few minutes before I got in the booth. The next three people get to stand in the booth with Sebastian while one is getting their picture taken. Even though Amanda wasn't getting a picture with him, she got to go in with me! So I see him and OH MY GOSH HE IS PERFEFCT. Internally freaking out is an understatement.
When it was my turn for my picture, I walk up to him and- AMANDA CAN CONFIRM THIS- SEBS'S WHOLE FACE LIT UP WITH HIS FREAKING PERFECT SMILE AND HE GOES, "Hi!!! How are you?"
I replied with, "Good!" (Such an exciting answer, I know.)
And I got my picture. HIS ARM IS AROUND ME AND HIS HAND IS HOLDING MY SHOULDER OH MY GOSH. And I asked for a hug and he responded, "Of course!" AND I FREAKING HUGGED SEBASTIAN STAN AND HE'S SO SQUISHY LIKE A TEDDY BEAR AND HUGGABLE AND GOSH I'M SO HAPPY.
Then, afterwards, my friend and I sat down off to the side of the room where the photo ops were as her photo op for Evan Peters wasn't for another hour. We're just sitting there and SEBASTIAN JUST WALKS RIGHT BY ME LIKE 5 YARDS AWAY FROM ME. It took all of my strength not to run up to him- I didn't because there was a security guard with him and I didn't want to embarass myself. I think he went to the bathroom because three minutes later he jUST WALKS RIGHT PAST ME AGAIN.
I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW SOME PEOPLE HAD TIME TO ASK FOR FUNNY POSES BECAUSE I HAD MAYBE 10 SECONDS WITH HIM !
So, yeah, that's my experience! I'm still freaking out from it and I'm so happy! Please, if you think you'll never meet your favorite celebrity, don't believe that. I never thought I'd have this opportunity- even as crazy of an experience as it was. If you argue you won't meet him/her because you live in another country outside of the US, DON'T BELIEVE THAT EITHER. Comic Cons are becoming more and more popular and they might expand to other countries.
IF YOU READ THIS, THANK YOU BECAUSE SERIOUSLY THIS WAS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE.
