Cyan gestured in Florence's direction and a gasp rippled around the room, chills ran up and down Florence's body as she stared up at Cyan. That tiny baby was now a grown woman and leader of the rebels; rebels she'd sought out for a quest that should have no connection to this one event from her past. Florence heard Quentin's words about fate, repeating in her head and she slowly smiled.

She wanted to discuss this latest revelation but Cyan wasn't done, she turned back to the crowd with a fierce look of determination on her face.

"Now ya know why I trust this woman, I'd trust 'er with m'life and if she needs 'elp we're giving it to 'er. Anyone got a problem wi' that?"

Silence followed her words and Florence saw some of them staring at her from the corner of her eye.

"Good, so we're gonna chat and then we'll know what we're doing. Anyone that's not up to it, whatever it is, that's alright, ya can stay and defend the kids."

It didn't seem like a dig but Florence could tell Cyan was expecting every one of them to volunteer to help. When the crowds dispersed to talk, Cyan jumped down from the stage and she stared at Florence with the same awe inspired look she had before.

"That's why you've been looking at me so peculiarly, it's when you heard Quentin say my name?"

Cyan smiled widely, "I wasn't sure at first, but the pieces started fitting and... I'm right, ain't I? It was you who 'elped my Mamma?"

Quentin and Hunter came to join them and they both wore identical expressions of wonder.

Florence ignored the looks and smiled at Cyan, "Yes, it was me. I remember your mother and that time of my life quite vividly, which isn't always a good thing. But you were the cutest baby and you were so strong considering the start you'd had, I just knew I had to help your mother when she put your life before her own."

Cyan's eyes were filling up, "I wish you could've met 'er again before she passed, she would've loved that."

"I'm so sorry, when did you lose her?"

"A few months ago, she reached a good ol' age for this place and it's all thanks ter you."

Florence shook her head, "No, she did the fighting, I just helped her along that's all... but I always wondered if you both moved managed to get out of the slums."

"Sorta, Mamma always said Nuplax is 'er home though and she wanted to 'elp people in the same way you 'elped 'er. She was a healer and she would 'elp anyone that came to 'er, she charged only what they could afford and it made 'er really popular but that wasn't always a good thing and we 'ad to leave Norston after a while."

Florence smiled a sad smile, "I'm glad she took that path."

"I 'eard so many stories about ya growing up, too," Hunter said suddenly.

Florence turned to see he was talking to her, she raised her brow curiously and he smiled.

"You 'elped my Ma and Pa before I was born, they both got sick and needed medicine they couldn't pay for but ya got it for 'em. If it wasn't for you, me and my sisters might not 'ave been born."

Florence blinked back her surprise, she hadn't thought about it before but she had helped a lot of people during her time in Nuplax. People who then went on to have families and that might not have happened without her.

"Probably a lot of folk 'ere that owe you their lives, so we wanna 'elp with whatever ya need." Cyan must have been thinking along the same lines.
