(backstory)
Keith had a flaw.
He cared too much. And everyone else didn't care enough.
His mom left. He was told to forget, give up, stop searching. He didn't. Until he grew up.
His dad died. He was told to move on, get better, live for tomorrow. Yet every time he saw fire his heart seemed to beat out of his chest.
After the many hopeless years of being in the orphanage, and then moving from family to family, he decided to stop caring too much. He decided to stop caring at all.
Until Shiro came along. He and his husband, Adam adopted Keith. After the several years of numb feelings, he started to care again. That was a mistake.
Adam and Shiro went on a business trip, it was supposed to be a day trip. They were supposed to be back in 3 days. They were back, but they were back on stretchers. A drunk driver hit their car, and even if they didn't die, they were in a dangerous place. He got the news just recently.
He was told to hope, be positive, and live for tomorrow.
Why did people care only when he stopped?
So,
Just another weekend. With another forced socialization. He would rather sit in his bed, and not give a shit.
