-August 16, Domino City-
A blonde haired girl sits on a bench outside the big campus at the University she attended, reading. She always arrived earlier than needed, so she spends the rest of her time reading, waiting for the whole campus to open. She's taken classes to fulfill her dream, and that was to become an author. Reading was her many hobbies while growing up, she didn't have much of a childhood. Her parents always fought over what was best for her and older brother, Dominic, who was now serving in the military. She didn't mind at all. As long as he didn't get injured or anything.
It was actually Dominic who inspired her to become an author. She has written many stories and always read them to him. His comments on how well written they were made her write more.
Her imaginational stories were published on a very well-known app that every teenager would use. Her popularity on the app has grown, many teens, especially girls, loved each story. Her specialty was romance novels. Every girl seeks true love, and that's what drew the attention of many. She kept her true identity behind the famous profile, therefore, it made her feel more comfortable.
"Mia!"
The 19 year old girl looked up to see her 3 friends walking in their 'squad formation', as she would call it. Mia silently closed her book and placed it in her nice leather book bag. Mia smiles as the 3 girls surrounded her. "Good morning you guys. How are all of you doing?" Mia asks looking to see each individual girl.
Monica, a tall brunette with glasses was the first to respond, "Im doing great! But it's a bother when your being so proper." Mia nodded, understanding. Katherine, the one who spoke Mia's name before jabbed Monica in the ribs, "Knock it off Monica, we've discussed this many times. Mia was raised better than any of us, that's probably the reason she's so respectful and innocent." The dirty blonde haired girl said. "Anyways, I'm doing kinda okay. I'm having a terrible hair day tho." She said referring to her hair in a messy bun held with a big pink scrunchy.
"Oh shut the hell up Kathy! You are gorgeous, along with you guys too." The last girl said. Her shoulder length black hair swooshing in the wind. "Yeah right, stop telling lies April.." Katherine said while trying another attempt of making a better sloppy bun. Mia turned to see April roll her eyes.
"Come on, it's Friday and the weekend is here!" Monica said. Mia chuckled while getting up with her bag and looking at her watch. "Let's get going. Classes are going to begin." April moaned, not really looking forward to going to class. After stopping at the restroom and making sure their appearances looked okay, besides Mia and April, they went their separate ways to their first classes.
Mia sat in her seat that was assigned in the middle row, pleased enough with the chosen spot. She pulled out her notebook and a few pencils along with her water bottle. The notebook was quite thick compared to other students notebooks. Mia was a well paid attention student who did not mess around. The bell rang and her classmates started filling up the large room. Mrs. Miller, a teacher in her early 30s sat at her desk and turned on the projector which showed a powerpoint. Mia took a swig of her water bottle feeling that there was going to be a lot of notes to write. "Let's make this worth it Mia.." She said in a whisper.
"Okay everyone! Take a seat and we shall get started! Be sure to pay attention because if you don't, then why are you here? There's no point in trying to get a career if your not going to focus!" Mrs. Miller says sternly. Students clattered every where trying to get there supplies in place and begin. Mia sighed at everyone's disorganized desks.
-Time Skip-
Mia finally felt relieved that class was over. She was happy she was taking the class to help reach her goal in life, but her hand aches with writing notes too fast for her liking. Walking out of the building, Mia see's Kathy, April, and Monica waiting by the gate which is the exit out of the campus. A small smile shows on Mia's face, "Hey. How was your guys' day?" April was the first to reply, "Mine was okay." Mia nodded, showing that she was listening.
Monica and Kathy on their other hand, kept their eyes glued to their phones. Mia cleared her throat, getting their attention. "Woah, when did you show up Mia?" Monica said, keeping her eyes on the device. April face palmed, "Would you stop reading that ridiculous story on that app!" She tries taking Kathy's phone but Kathy instead smacked her hand super hard, making April cringe in pain.
"No! I will never stop reading her stories! They are great, you need more hobbies, so why not start reading them?" Kathy says to April. Mia gave a confused look, "Who are you talking about?". Both Monica and Kathy gasp, Monica got to answer Mia before Kathy, "Caroline Foster!" Mia's eyes widen at the name. Two of her three best friends read the stories on the webpage of her profile. A light shade of pink covered Mia's cheeks, here's my time to ask questions on the stories they've chosen to read, Mia quietly says to herself.
"I've heard of her..." She says quietly, "Which story do you guys favor?". The brunettes eyes widen, "I defiantly favor her novel, "Echoes of Ripples"! A woman falling for a mysterious prince, oh how lovely!" She says cupping her own face and turning red from her little day dream. "I agree! Any girl would love to fall in love with a prince! If only things like that could actually happen." Kathy says, also blushing madly.
Mia giggles to herself, "Let's all start going home and we can discuss it on our walk." She says leading the way.
April didn't listen so much of the lovey dovey stuff, for she wasn't really that girly like Kathy and Monica. Mia on the other hand, questioned the two girls on the story that she's published herself secretly.
They were now approaching another school located in Domino. Students younger than them were leaving, walking home or having a ride home. It was normal for the girls to see this happening everyday but something caught their eyes. "Check out the hot rod y'all..." April mumbled looking at a nice expensive looking limo.
They all stopped in awe, staring at the vehicle that was about a few feet away from them, but Mia kept walking. The blonde was busy texting her brother, checking on him since they haven't spoken within a week. (A/N: I don't really know if like, you can text ppl if they're in the military. Probably not but we'll pretend they can)
The three girls got out of there trance of the limo and looked at Mia with wide eyes. Kathy yelled, "Mia watch out!" The three started jogging towards their friend.
Mia gazed up from her phone and turned around while walking still, giving them a confused expression, then turned back around to walk into someone.
"OUCH!" said a male voice.
Monica, Kathy, and April made it to Mia's side and checked if she was okay. Which she was.
Mia eyes lowered to see a boy a few inches shorter than her, rubbing his head . He had an elegant suit on looking like he was ready for a court session, not school. His shoulder length black hair got a little messy due to him soothing his now sore head.
Mia gasp, he looked really young and now felt like she was gonna get shot by an assassin. "Oh my god! I'm so so sorry for running into you little boy! I was too busy that I wasn't focused on where I was walking." Mia said. The boy glared at her. "It's fine, but I do have a problem. I'm not a little boy, in fact, I'm a teenager."
Mia's heart started beating even more faster, "Oh no-! I didn't realize that you were, uh, a teenager. Is there anything I can do for you to make it up?" The young teen sent daggers her way but soften his expression, "It's fine, just watch where your going..." He gave Mia and the girls one last glance and continued walking.
He made his way to the limo having a body guard open the door for him, "Mister Mokuba, are you okay?" The guard asks. "I'm fine, it was an accident." The teen so called Mokuba replied sitting inside the limo.
"What the hell?!" April yelled. "How is a pesky teen like him have a limo?" Kathy said blinking into space, lost in her thoughts.
They all stared at the limo as it drove away. Monica sweat-dropped while straightening her glasses, "Seems like the young man has a whole lot of money...". Mia didn't say anything, feeling too upset about the situation even though it was a little misunderstanding. "You mean his Daddy's money, he's probably spoiled." April aggravatingly says.
Mia turned around and started running in the direction of her apartment, "I'll call you guys this weekend, gotta go!" The three now alone girls just gave each other puzzling looks.
