Mia's P.O.V
Dom left about an hour ago after dinner, leaving me to reorganize the kitchen. I dry my hands off a hand towel, placing the cloth back on its rack. I stumble into my cold room, flipping the light switch. I then see a blinking light from my laptop, scrunching up my eyebrows. This usually meant that I had an email, which is kinda rare, besides the fan mail I get.
I log in, looking at the mystified email. I sweat-drop, seeing it was a email from one of the Kaiba brothers. 'Why did Mokuba send me a message? How did he even get my email?!' I start chewing on my nail in pure anxiety. It wasn't that I was scared of the young teen, but he's related to Seto Kaiba, which makes it a little intense.
Hello Mia,
I know you must be having questions go through your head as of right now, but I'll answer them later. As you probably already know, I'm a genius like my big bro. I figured out that little secret of yours and to be honest, it wasn't hard at all. Your books are truly amazing and I have some what a job offering for you, if you agree to it. I know you probably don't want anyone else knowing about this, so your secret is safe. If you're interested in hearing more of this information, meet at KC on Monday at 2:30 pm. I thought this would be a good day considering school is delayed, plus, it gives you some more time to think about my offer. Hopefully I'll see you soon.
Sincerely,
Mokuba Kaiba.
I stay still, staring at the screen. 'Job offering...? Does it involve writing or something?' I click the 'Reply' button and hover my fingers over my keyboard.
Dear Mokuba Kaiba,
Indeed, I do have many questions for you. But as you said, it can wait until we meet up. I know this is a quick response but I'll definitely come. You seem like a well-trusted young man, so without taking any more time to develop my answer, I look forward to meeting with you. I do hope you respect my wishes to not discuss my hidden talent/secret with anyone, not even your older brother Seto. Depending on what this whole discussion will be about, I'm sure I'll accept anything you offer me, especially since you helped me out with my accident yesterday. I do appreciate and thank you and your brother for helping me out.
Until next time,
Mia
I proof read my message before sending it to him. I lay back in my chair and rub my temples. Ever since that car accident, I've been feeling headaches, but not usual ones. These ones were worse, it felt as if my skin was tightening around my skull, but my skull was too big to be shrunk inwardly.
A sudden knock was heard at my front door.
I get up from my cushioned chair, reaching the entrance of my apartment. I peep through the little scope on the door, to see Monica and Kathy. Turning the door knob, I greeted them, then lead us all to talk in my tight spaced living room.
"What was up with you yesterday girl? You just suddenly bolted away after running into that kid." Kathy states, before shoving a piece of chocolate into her mouth. I nervously smile, "I uh...had to hurry off to work so I wouldn't be late. My apologies that I rushed off so fast."
Monica eyes me carefully, adjusting her glasses. "Well, you could have just said something before taking off like that." Monica says.
"Yeah, it was like you were running away from a war, leaving you friends behind to die!" Kathy dramatically throws her hands in the air. I playfully roll my eyes at her bubbly personality. Monica groans, "Yeah, that's what it was exactly like Kathy." I tilt my head to the side, "Why are you guys here anyway?"
Kathy shoots up from the sofa with a sparkle in her eyes that we all know too well, "I'm making you both binge watch this new show! I don't care if you like it or not, we're all watching it because it's amazing!" Monica and I shoot each other the same look. "Whatever you say Kath, just let me at least get some sn-", before I can finish talking, Kathy pulls a bag full of snacks out of no where.
Monica smirks, "At least you've come prepared hun!" She snatches the bag from Kathy's hand and grabs a few things, then handing it to me. Kathy sets a stack of DVD's on my table, putting a disk into my DVD player. Monica and Kathy sit among the sofa while I lay in my big, comfy, rocking chair.
Though I'm not really paying much attention to the show, my brain is still thinking about the emails exchanged between the raven haired boy and I.
'What exactly is he gonna offer me...?'
