Mia's P.O.V
"When your against an opponent, always feel confident about yourself and don't get discouraged. Even if they have a higher rank deck than yours, the least you could do is give it your best." Yugi says smiling.
April's mouth was opened a little at his touching words, "That's amazing!" She beams once again. He gave her a questioning look.
"Hearing you say that to me, makes me feel confident already for whatever comes my way." April smiles and looks over at me. I arched my eyebrow, "What?"
She laughed nervously, "Would you be interested in learning to duel with me. I know the basics and we could grow in learning of it together? Does that make sense..?" April places her hand under her chin thinking about what she just said.
I chuckled, "I'll think about it but I have my own goals in life too ya know." Yugi glances at me, "What kind of goals?"
I inhaled and exhaled, "I'm studying and improving my writing skills at the moment. I want to become a 5-star author, its always been like that ever since I was little..." He nodded, smiling.
"What makes you want to write?" Joey asks, dropping in on the conversation, which I didn't mind.
I look at each and one of them, "I've always wanted to create something that is made in my own way. No one will be in control but me. I can name the characters, make the plot and setting, all that good stuff."
I close my eyes, "In that world, no one can tell me what to do or how to do something, because I'm in charge." Tristan took a sip of his beverage and cleared his throat, "You remind me of someone but...I can't remember their name."
Joey looks at Tristan, "Uhh, Rebecca...?" He ask, stretching out the name. Tristan shook his head, "Tea...?" Another head shake. The air seemed a little sense when that name was spoken.
"Who's Tea, if you don't mind me asking." I say, glancing at everyone but April. Yugi had a sad look, "She is a real good friend of ours." Joey looked down, suddenly fiddling with his hands.
"What happened to her?" April asked, breaking the silence. Yugi's hands clenched a little, "She moved to America to fulfill her dream to be a dancer."
"Awwe..." April and I say, feeling their sadness. "I'm sorry you guys. I'm sure she'll be around again soon one day." I say sadly smiling. Joey grinned a little, "Yeah your probably right, she'll be around soon I'm sure."
Tristan's eyes widen, "Ha! I remember, Seto Kaiba. That's who you remind me of Mia."
'How am I like Seto Kaiba?'
I frowned with disapproval. I didn't have a problem with the guy, it's just that he can be a little bit of a rich snob.
April crossed her arms while frowning, glaring at Tristan, "How could you compare my beautiful, innocent best friend to a rich pretty boy like him?" She asks. Tristan sweat-dropped, "N-No offense Mia."
"None taken." I reply.
Joey shrugged, "I haven't seen rich boy since that battle tournament, before graduation. That was months ago." Yugi nodded in agreement. April brought her hands to her cheeks, grinning, "I do wish I went to that tournament! I wasn't able to watch it on television, but I heard it was amazing but dramatic at the same time."
"Yeah, it was some battle." Bakura says, getting up to throw his trash away.
My attention was then brought to my ringing phone. The caller ID read my brothers name, "I'm gonna head on home. Thank you so much for today, I'm grateful."
I started walking away after everyone said goodbye. I brought up the phone to my ear, "Hey Dom, how are you?"
My brother and I talked for a few minutes until I exited the mall, yes, the mall is indeed very large. He had to go work out and prepare for tomorrow's training, which led to ending the call, leaving me alone by myself.
It started to lightly rain, making me aggravated. My apartment complex was just a few blocks. I picked up the pace, slowly jogging. It was getting dark a little bit and thank god for street lights, or I would've been lost by now.
Everything around me was being ignored. I was too focus on getting to my apartment. My strands of hair stuck to my face, making me cringe at how uncomfortable it felt.
I made it to a street sign that had the red palm light showing, forcing me to stop. No one was coming and I really wanted to get home now, having drenched clothes on didn't feel great.
Without looking I started running across the wide street.
Before I knew it, I saw headlights on the puddles reflections below my running feet. Looking to my left, a car was coming my way. Not just any car, a classy limo.
My world stopped, along with my heart beat. The car tried stopping but still managed to hit me, making everything around me go black.
3rd Person POV
A limo was driving down the water flowing streets, going a little too fast. A man in the back seat, typing rapidly on his phone. A scowl was plastered on his face, keeping himself quiet.
The driver's attention was on the green light ahead of him, making him drive faster so it wouldn't turn red.
But suddenly in the distance, he saw a person running across the street. It took him a few seconds to comprehend if he was seeing stuff or not, but forcefully slammed his foot on the brake.
A screeching sound was made, making the person lift their head and look, their eyes widening with fear.
"Shit!" The driver yelled.
A thud was heard, making the man in the back growl in frustration. "Roland, what's going on!?" He yelled.
The man, so called Roland, quivered, "I don't know sir. I think I hit someone."
The brunette groaned, "Are you kidding me?!" He opened his car door, feeling the rain pour on him. He walked to the front of the car to see a woman.
She laid flat on her stomach, hair scattered everywhere and her outfit drenched and stained. The man walked over to her, turning her body so she was laying on her back.
Blood was trickling down her mouth and nose. He reached her throat, feeling a pulse and felt relieved.
Scooping her up in his arms and carrying her into the vehicle, he slammed the door, "Roland, get us to the nearest hospital ASAP!" He demanded.
Roland didn't waste no time to start driving at a fast rate.
The girls head laid in the blue eyed mans lap. He glared at the unconscious body, 'Why do people have to be so stupid?'
He scrunched his face up in disgust, wiping a few strands of hair out of the girls face, along with a few pebbles.
His expression soften when he got a full glimpse of the face, making a small tint of pink appear on his cheeks.
'Looks smart, but she must of been that careless to run across a street when there's a green light.'
