"Is this how you greet an old friend of yours?"

Agent William Fowler stared at me, watching every single of my movement as I walked towards him with a 'special' handcuff around my wrists. "It's a necessary action I need to do especially when the government are chasing you down, Irene Kanzaki." He spoke. "Pretty neat I have to say." I said, lifting the handcuff in front of him.

It was a special handcuff, designed to apprehend any mutant such as me, who had a telekinesis ability. Not every human was born with an ability and I could say only five percent in this world received their own ability. The others lived as a normal human while the mutant had to live with the soldiers, following the orders from the government.

Think of it as the government were only using them as a weapon and not treating them as their own kinds.

My dad refused of giving me to the government and keeping my ability away from everyone including my own family. No one know as they might be afraid of me like everyone did when the news spread about me murdering my own family.

"So, where are we going, Agent Fowler?" I asked, curiously.

"To your temporary house where I can watch your every movement." He answered, simply.

"Quick question. Am I going to live alone or with a temporary family?" I asked. I wanted to live alone because with my unstable ability, I wished to stay away from people for their own safety. "I did say of watching your every movement, so I'll put you with an acquaintance of mine." He answered, then ordering the soldiers to escort me to the car.

"Hey, watch it!" I warned, feeling a hard pull from them.

Then, they pushed me into the car and I growled when my head nearly banged against the window. Could they at least be nice especially to a beautiful young girl like me?! I could feel the same burning fire in my veins but I gasped when the handcuff suddenly released an electric shock through my body.

"Ha! That's what you get for trying to use your ability, freak!" I glared at the soldier, who was smirking at me.

I should know about this because I did created this handcuff because my Dad requested for an idea of how to improve the normal handcuff into a better one for using it against the criminal and mutants.

It was a long trip and through our trip, Agent Fowler asked a few questions which involved my company. I answered some of them and still refused to explain of why I decided to visit this town. He knew I wouldn't visit any place without a reason but as usual, I had a very stubborn personality.

"Ugh. You're just like your father." Agent Fowler grunted.

I snickered at his statement. "After all, I'm his daughter, so of course I have his personality with me." I replied. "Also, would you like to explain a few details about my temporary family?"

"And why should I tell you?" He asked, curiously.

"A high schooler shouldn't get himself involved with the military, Agent Fowler." I answered, then his eyes widened in shock. "H—How did you know that?" He asked.

"Did you already forgot what is my ability, Agent Fowler?" I laughed. "Not only telekinesis but telepathy, so I can read your mind." Then, I smirked as my red eyes—which changed from blue—stared into his.

"Jack Darby, a high schooler and have a single mother who worked as a doctor

"Jack Darby, a high schooler and have a single mother who worked as a doctor. Her name is June Darby. He have a special motorcycle." I chuckled at myself. "Oh my, those information are so precious and interesting." I smirked.

"Don't you dare to hurt them, Irene." He warned, narrowing his eyes.

"Why should I? I'm not that kind of person who killed someone without any reason, Agent Fowler. You should know that my only enemy is the murderer of my family." I said, darkly.

He gulped with fear but refused to show it, which I found very amusing of watching a special agent scared especially towards a young girl like me.

"We're here." Agent Fowler nodded and ordering the soldier to unlock the cuff, which they were hesitated. "Unlock this." I smiled, lifting my wrists. The soldier glared at me while unlocking the handcuff with a remote. The handcuff unlocked by itself and I sighed in relief while rubbing my wrists.

"Fuh! That handcuff sure is tight until it make my wrists feel sore!" I exclaimed.

We stepped out from the car and walked towards the house, where a young boy was working with something in the garage. "Jack!" Agent Fowler called.

Oh, so that boy was Jack. Typical young boy.

"A—Agent Fowler?" Jack asked, surprised. "What are you doing here?"

"Did your mother not tell you?" Agent Fowler asked, which Jack replied with a confused look. "Anyway, this is Irene—" I stepped on the old man's foot, making him yelped in pain.

"Irene Reynolds!" I introduced, happily.

Jack blinked his eyes and slowly, nodding his head. "Hi . . ." He greeted, awkwardly.

"I think I should take my leave now." Agent Fowler said, glancing at his watch. He walked out from the garage and Jack suddenly chasing after him.

"W—Wait, Agent Fowler!" Jack called.

I looked at where he ran off and shrugged to myself. That boy must had a lot of questions especially the part of me staying here for as long as I want. Well, Agent Fowler did just introduced me and left without giving any details, so I could understand him for suddenly having a new person in his family.

Then, I decided to check the garage until my eyes landed onto the most beautiful motorcycle I ever saw in my entire life.

"What a beauty." I whistled. It was beautiful without any scratch on it as if he just bought it. I decided to take a look and smiled, realizing how well he took care of it. My hand rested on the handle before I retreated it with a gasp.

"What are you doing, Hand?! We've already talk about this!" I exclaimed, staring at my hand. With my dumb imagination, I thought of how my hand replied to me.

'Please! Just one time!'

"But . . ." I mumbled, glancing at the motorcycle once again. I really want to take it for a ride but it wasn't mine! Hence, I just got here and taking his stuff wasn't a good thing for my first impression!

Soon, I gave up and followed what my mind told me.

"It wouldn't hurt to try." I smirked, deciding to get on the motorcycle.

My hands gripped onto the handle, wanting to take the motorcycle for a round but a voice stopped me from doing so.

"What are you doing?"

I jumped and turned, seeing Jack with a curious look on his face. "Just checking this bike. You really take a good care of her." I answered. Then, he suddenly tensed when I called his bike as 'her'.

"I s—see." He said, causing me to raise an eyebrow at his sudden shutter. "Anyway, care to explain of how did you know Agent Fowler and . . . why are you here?" Jack took a step forward with a demanding look.

I sighed and get off from the motorcycle, leaning against it. "You could say . . . someone you shouldn't mess up with." I smirked.
