Leaving me alone wasn't a good idea, especially   When people were trying to kill me. But I had already taken I would be an assassin out by the time I heard people approaching the front door. It was the fact my phone was upstairs, I was injected with wolfsbane, cut with silver and bleeding out currently. But other than that I was fine.

I looked over to the man's body and the blood that came from it, I felt like I was going to be sick. The knock on the door made me look away from the mess I had made, but he caused.

"Bailey?" I heard Kai ask as he knocked again. "Kai!" I whimpered as I tried to get up, but he threw the door open and walked in. "Bow!" He yelled my nickname as he ran over to me. I watched his eyes as he linked the pack doctor. "Bailey focuses on my voice," he said as he checked my slowing Heart rate. "Bailey, you can't leave me," he said as he carried me to the sofa. "The Doctor will be here soon, as will Chris and Maya," he said as he ran his hand through my hair.

"It's going to be okay," he said as he looked at the wound on my side. "It has to be okay, you have to be okay," he said as he kissed my forehead. He held onto me, warming up my body. I felt like I had been stabbed in the chest, Artie was slipping away... and when she was gone I would be soon after. "Tell then all I'm sorry" I whispered as Kai shook his head. "Bailey you're not going anywhere, I love you!" He growled leaving me in shock. "Tell my brothers they can finally go back to the pack. Have them bring my body home, I wanna go home" I said as I started to cry.

"Bailey I love you, you can't leave me!" He told me as he tucked my hair behind my ear. "Your the best friend I could ever ask for, thank you, Kai," I said before it all went black.

I heard the beeping first before I felt the tightness of the bandages and how someone's fingers were intertwined with mine. "I should have known not to leave her alone" I heard a familiar voice say, but I couldn't place it.

"It's not your fault," someone else said. There was a time of silence as I tried to open my eyes. Tried to move, move anything. "Wolfsbane... that would have killed her. That should have killed her" I heard someone else say. "She's strong, a little Wolfsbane can't keep her down," a female voice said but someone cut in. "That amount of Wolfsbane is enough to kill 10 wolves her size, but here She is," someone said before I heard a door open.

"The Alphas are demanding to know what happened," someone said making someone growl. "Beta Chris?" The man asked before I heard footsteps then the door close. Then the room was silent, the silence was unsettling. The silence made my skin crawl. I couldn't handle it.

I felt Artie eventually. After what seemed like hours. Artie gave me the energy, the power to move. I looked at my hand that no longer was held, then to my brothers, my brothers in blood and in the soul. All three of them slept peacefully in the chairs around the room.

Without waking them I put my feet on the ground. I detached myself Then I turn off the machines I was connected to before looking at what I was wearing. A pair of granny panties, along with a cotton hospital gown. I slipped into the bathroom and found a pair of my little brothers joggers, my brother is only younger, not smaller. I snatched Dalton's hoodie that rested in the empty chair next to him. I tied my hair back with a rubber band before leaving the room.

I found my way through the hospital ward of the pack house before I made it to the living area. I heard yelling coming from the direction of the meeting room, so naturally, I headed there. I walked into the meeting room to see my Beta and Gamma among the other pack leaders. I looked to my left to see the coffee bar, praise the goddess.

I poured a mug of coffee before adding French vanilla and a heaping amount of sugar. I stirred it before looking to the men. "She can't be Alpha!" One of the older men yelled. "I don't recall when we asked for your opinion," I said as I sipped my coffee. "You shouldn't be on your feet let alone awake," Chris said as he looked me up and down. "I feel fine, your overreacting," I told him but he just laughed "the amount of Wolfsbane you were injected with could have killed 5 men twice your size! So no I'm not overreacting" Kai said as his eyes softened.

"This is a pack leader meeting, so please take your mate elsewhere," Mason's father said making me laugh. "Mr. Prescott, nice to meet you!" I said as I smiled. "It's Alpha Prescott," he said as he looked at the other Alphas, he looked scared that I knew who he was. They must not remember me. "And you are the girl that thought she could boss us around on her Alphas behalf!" One of the alphas said making my smile fall, most of them laughed like it was a joke.

"I'm Alpha Bailey, nice to meet you all. But as I said before, I don't recall asking for anyone's opinions. I have Alpha blood, they needed an alpha. Quite simple really" I said looking them all in the eyes. "So if you have a problem with me, get in line," I said before looking to my Beta and Gamma. "So what did I miss?" I asked but Kai shook his head. "You're missing the rest you need to recover," he said as he walked over to me. He stood a good two feet taller than me, but he was gentle as he grabbed my coffee from my hand and pointed to the door.

"See you all soon, a real pleasure," I said sarcastically before grabbing my coffee and leaving. Kai scooped me into his arms and started carrying me towards the hospital.

"Bailey!" I heard behind me. Kai turned to see Mason running to catch up with us. Hooray!
