After my little melt down over Harry being chosen as a champion I decided to go to bed to treat myself to an early night, Meriln knows I needed it. Once I had reached my room I noticed a rather innocent looking letter on my pillow... Curious, very curious.
"Who would be sending me a letter, mother and father only write on Saturdays and Roger goes to school with me. Couldn't be Chester, he's busy with work this week," I whispered to myself as I reached the letter and grabbed it, sitting on my bed and carefully breaking the seal.
Dear Madison,
It would be my pleasure to ask you to come meet me at hogsmeade on Saturday seen as I am visiting and staying at the school for business and have some free time. Look forward to seeing you.
Sincerely, Charlie WeasleyCHARLIE!? What business would he have here! He works with drag- oh no. This is what I get for caring about people! Eventually they do something dumb that threatens their life and I have to deal with worrying about them because they're complete imbeciles! I need a holiday, a long long holiday.
It was finally Saturday. I was in a good mood though because the first task was tomorrow I was also very nervous and worried. Getting ready I put on a pair of normal jeans, boots and a red sweater, casual. I fixed my hair and sighed, deciding I was ready and heading down the stairs and towards the painting. I had literally just stepped one foot out and was immediately grabbed by two red heads and dragged to the great hall for breakfast. The grip they had on either side of my arms finally released and I was able to sit down at my own accord.
"Are you coming with-" Fred started, smiling s
"-Us to Hogsmeade?" George finished, staring at me with those puppy dog eyes, his chin resting on his palms.
"I'm sorry but I already have plans, I'm going to have to leave you two to get into trouble on your own," I said, ruffling both their hairs and they pouted childishly. I got up from my seat as I finished a bit of toast
"Who are you going with?!" George shouted and i simply smiled and tapped the side of my nose with a wink, walking out of the great hall and towards the pathway to Hogsmeade.
I eventually reached the small picturesque village and low and behold, Charlie bloody Weasley was standing there in a tight shirt, jeans, boots and a jacket. He spotted me and immediately came over and have me a tight hug, which I returned equally as tight.
"How have you been?" Charlie asked and I sighed as we began to walk towards The Three Broomsticks.
"Tired. It's been very eventful, keeping Fred and George from entering that damned thing, making sure Harry doesn't get beat up, scolding Ron for being such an idiot," I listed and he chuckled at the last bit, smiling widely at me.
"What about you, how have you been," I spoke, glancing at him from the corner of my eyes as we walked side by side.
"Good, haven't gotten eaten yet so I cannot really complain," he chuckled and I giggled lightly, a smile staying as a ghost on my face.
"Yes that is most definitely good, thank you," I thanked as he opened the door of the three broomsticks for me. What a gentleman. We made our way towards a booth and sat down on either sides so we were facing each other.
"I'll go get us drinks, butterbeer?" I nodded at his question and when he left I couldn't stop smiling, that was until the twins slid in in-front of me. Great.
"What do you two want?" I sighed, crossing my arms and raising my eye brow. The two mischievous red heads smirked and lent forward, chin rested on their hands.
"When we contemplated who you were going with, we did not expect to see our brother. Something you aren't telling us dear Maddie?" Fred asked and I blushed slightly and opened my mouth to speak but was cut off by butterbeer being set in front of me and Charlie sliding in beside me. He looked unfazed by his brothers and simply took a sip of his beverage.
"Are you two going to be tagging along this entire time or are you going to do what you usually do and leave to go prank someone?" I spoke, narrowing my eyebrows and I think they got the hint. They winked before disappearing off doing Merlin knows what. Charlie got up once more to slide in the booth so he was once again opposite me.
"I don't know how you've stuck them the past six years, I'm family, I have to stick them but you don't," he spoke and we both laughed.
"Well I guess no one else really wanted to be friends with me but in second year when they came to Hogwarts we just clicked, I don't know how many times I've gotten those two out of Trouble and them me," I chuckled recalling all the times I've bailed them out of trouble and saved them from detention. Charlie just seemed to stare at me with a smile and I blushed slightly, looking down at my hands, fidgeting.
"I want to show you something," he said, pure excitement in his voice and a sparkle in his eye, he got up and held out a hand to me, staring at me with a smile. I glanced at his hand for a moment before looking up with a grin and taking his hand allowing him to lead me. Charlie Weasley will be the death of me.
