« Chapter Twenty One - CHRISTMAS and I take a trip to the Hospital Wing »

I woke up with a large smile on my face, glancing at the dress hanging up, memories of last night flooding back to me as I smiled and giggled to myself, spreading out on my bed in pure bliss. I then realised what day it was.

... ITS CHRISTMASSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

I jumped up and grabbed a red tight skinned reindeer onesie and just pulled on some uggs and grabbed all the presents from my wardrobe, each one wrapped carefully in blue wrapping paper, dotted with tiny snowmen with reindeer labels, each one of my friends names written in neat cursive letters. I put my hair up in a messy bun and padded down the stairs to the living room. Placing the presents under the Christmas tree in the newly decorated Head Girl and Head Boy dormitory.

It was very very early, like six am early. I skipped down the halls in my pyjamas, humming to random songs as I made my way to the Kitchen.

I bounded down the stairs, into a broad stone basement corridor, brightly lit and decorated with food-themed paintings, tickling the pear on a painting of a bowl of fruit. The pear giggled and turned into a large green door handle, revealing the entrance to the Hogwarts kitchens. All the house elves were asleep so I just invited myself in.

I spent the next few hours making dozens cookies, cupcakes and other snacks, casting a charm so all the plated goods followed me as I made my way back to my room.

I was determined to make this the best Christmas ever. I wanted to unwind and get peoples minds off of the Tri-Wizard Tournament, especially Harry.

I was throwing a family only Christmas party, Percy, Harry, Hermione, Ron, Ginny, the twins and Charlie. Spend some quality time together.

I made everyone set an alarm for eight, except Charlie, who I knew would sleep through it. It was quarter to seven so I grabbed two plates of my homemade iced Christmas cookies and some milk. I also grabbed some fruit bowls for them to have before the cookies and made my way to the room where the ten dragon tamers stay. I kicked the door open, plates resting on each of my palms and bowls all along my arms as if I was a waiter.

"RISE AND SHINE BOYS, I BROUGHT YOU BREAKFAST AND A LITTLE TREAT," I shouted happily, startling them out of their sleep. They blinked rapidly, glancing at me. I placed the food on the table in the middle of the room, a bright smile on my face.

"Maddie, too early," a voice groaned from under the duvet. I rolled my eyes and jumped onto the bed and on top of the red head attempting to go to sleep. I pulled the blanket off his head but he simply pushed his face deeper into his pillow. I poked his cheek, straddling his back.

"Charlie, it's Christmas, c'mon you promised," I whined, continuing to poke his cheek as his co-workers began to get up.

"It's too early, love," his morning voice paired with the nickname made me blush bright crimson. I huffed and hopped off him before a smirk played on my lips.

"Hmm... There's going to be so much extra food now, I might invite Victor," I mock contemplated in a conflicted tone. In two seconds he was up and right next to me, linking his arm through mine and almost dragging me along. Choruses of Thank yous and Merry Christmases were heard as we left and when we arrived to the dorm everyone was already there.

"Present time," I sung. I gave everyone their presents. For Percy I got him some rare books, Harry and Ron got sweets, I got Hermione a book filled with advanced spells and potions, I got the twins Zonko gift cards and chocolate frogs, Ginny almost strangled me in a hug when she opened the Holyhead Harpies tickets I had gotten her. Me and Charlie decided to give our gifts to each other at the end. I had gotten lots of books and sweets when it was finally time for me and Charlie to give each other our gifts. Everyone was so engrossed in munching on the treats and talking they hardly paid attention to us.
