Bethlehem - Declan McKenna

the original 3rd song was Silence by TENDER. But as that song described Jonas' relationship with Cynthia a little too much, I decided to fuck the system (skdjsksk I'm already beginning to make references to my own characters) and skip to the next song. I debated it for some time though.

I will paste the lyrics to the song and nitpick in between brackets what I shall establish. After that I'll start writing the actual story.

So, you've left it all behind you (Rachel to Jonas, he tells her what happened between him and cynthia. "Love is passion," she says. In a conversation about each others love lives.)

For a love is only as you see it
Though so many do confide in you (Jonas to Rachel after that conversation.)
It seems you are the one that confides most (Rachel observing Jonas, he trusts her too easily)

But you sin as you wish (Jonas about Rachel's smoking habit)
Because I'm in Bethlehem
I've got a seat in heaven (Jonas basking in the glory of not caring for a bit)
And though I'm heaven sent
I can do as I want and you don't have the right to choose (Rachel being her fuck all self)

Codes, you follow codes and break them
For a love is only what does suit you most (When Jonas notices that Rachel is a mESS in love)
Hope, I hope and pray for love to reign
For love is what I give through my own codes (Rachel about love)

But you sin as you wish

Because I'm in Bethlehem
I've got a seat in heaven
And though I'm heaven sent
I can do as I want and you don't have the right to choose

I'm in Bethlehem
I've got a seat in heaven
And though I'm heaven sent
I can do as I want (Jonas after Cynthia)

I'm in Bethlehem
I've got a seat in heaven
And though I'm heaven sent
I can do as I want (Rachel always)

So the strong points here are

- Trust
- Basking in glory of single life
- You can also be alone with each other
- I'm already getting inspired

- So help me god where can I jot down these idea
