Always There

Dear journal,

Today I woke up at exactly seven thirty as I do everyday, I made my bed twice, brushed my teeth three times and combed my hair twice. Same as any morning. I made my way down stairs remembering to start with my right foot and to skip the last step. I made my way into the kitchen and turned the lights on and off, on and off, on and off three times. I poured my usual cereal into the same bowl. Exactly fifty pieces. Poured two cups of milk and ate peacefully. Mother came into the kitchen ruffling my hair and passing me four colored pills. Two blue and two green.

The sound of Justin's violin was still fresh in my memory as I walked to school. Today was colder than yesterday, I guess winter was winning this battle after all.

I arrived at first period to find Justin already seated, munching on an apple. His hair was neatly placed once again, he wore a black plaid shirt with his sleeves rolled up and normal unripped jeans. His shoes were the same. He noticed me coming in through the door and smiled.

I sat down at my desk and pulled out my binder.

"So?" He said turning around in his seat.

I tilted my head in confusion. Did I miss something?

"What do you think about country music?" He asked taking another bite out of his red apple.

"Oh, I never got around to listening to it...sorry." I felt slightly ashamed, he had after all gone through the trouble of lending me his ipod.

"I'm hurt." He proceeded to grasp the left side of his chest and show fake pain. His bottom lip jutted out and exaggeratedly started trembling. He looked so funny doing it I couldn't help but laugh. "Not convinced are you?" He smiled.

"Not one bit." I laughed.

"Meh, I tried." He took another bite. "What's new in Alister's world?"

"Literally nothing." Aside from him that is.

"Damn, boy you really need to get out more."

"Where would I go?" I never really thought about doing anything other than what my schedule had planned. My parents occasionally took us out on road trips but those usually ended in me having a panic attack or father yelling at us. Aside from that I did enjoy them though.

"I don't know, go watch a movie, play sports, meet up with friends and just chill." He looked at me as if waiting for my input. "Nothing?"

"I don't know, movie theaters make me anxious and my friends are usually busy." At least they probably would be if I had any.

"Ever been skateboarding?" He asked hopefully.

"Not in this life time." I didn't want to either.

"Any chance I can convince you to come with me after school?"

"Not a chance." No way I was making another exception to my routine.

"Is that a challenge?" His eyes shown in amusement.

"One you are certain to loose if you accept." I played along.

"We'll see about that." He smiled slyly turning around in his seat as class began.

What did he plan on doing? Surely he wasn't planning on kidnapping me was he? Maybe blackmail? What could he possibly black mail me with? It's not like I gave away any of my secrets is it? Not that I have any really...

Either way I'm curious as to how this will play out. I know one thing for sure thought, I'm definitely not going skateboarding.

The rest of class went by fine, I finally finished my assignment and it felt right this time. The only thing that kept throwing me off slightly was the creepy smiles Justin gave me every ten minuets when I would get up to sharpen my pencils. I could tell he was doing in on purpose, I would respond with tilting my head in confusion and he would always respond by winking and laughing to him self. What was up with this boy?
