I only met sir Yoongi 3 days ago and everything went so fast. That day he, let me stay in their house outside the palace grounds and I met his father. They talked about how to conceal my identity first...and also discussed on how they will explain this problem to the royalties. I kind of feel bad to see them stressing over my situation. As I don't understand why can't they just tell me that I'm not possible for the position. I would understand. They asked me a lot of questions and when they ask me if I have one;

"I-I have nothing against your decisions...however, it pains me to see you both getting stressed out due to my situation. If it will put you to a very dangerous ground, please don't worry about me. You can find another one. I'm sure I will be able to get a job that is suitable for me..."

I saw sir Yoongi's father's face dramatically changed. From a stern look, his face softened. Even sir Yoongi eyed me with such...pity.

"You are a good child and you will stay."

Sir Yoongi's father said with determination.

"After finding out about your situation, there is no way I would let you go around and be taken advantage of. I know how you feel... I've been there...as I used to be one like you."

I was startled. The crown prince's personal advisor is...no- was a North Korean defector?

"So let us help you. However...as we take you inside the palace, always be reminded of your place. The other mistresses are just some spoiled rich kids who are not careful and bold enough to go against rules most of the time. Do not be swayed as you are in  a quite uncertain position. My son told me about the couple who took care of you. I will see to it that they will be taken care of...ah, also..."

He exchanged looks with his son;

"You are not allowed to come out of the palace...sadly, your situation even required us to refrain you from seeing your foster parents. Unlike the other mistresses, you will never see anything, anymore once you went behind the towering palace walls."

A sudden sadness swept over me... and I though about it.

The couple who took care of me deserve some love and reward. If that means I had to stay inside that palace forever, then so be it. Ever since I was young, I never actually expected anything from anyone. So I always looked at the brighter side of things.
