Her gentle strokes on my head made my nerves calm a bit. Right after being confronted by Mari and her bold shading over Charlie which truly touched a nerve, I went back straight to my quarters in silence. She carefully fixed my tie this time, as she silently observed me in furrowed brows.

"Your highness, 30 minutes and we're off to the ceremony."

I raised a hand at my adviser. He bowed and stepped away from the door.

"From now on, you will not be joining the mistresses for meals. Only me."

She worriedly eyed me.

"B-but why?..."

"I don't want Mari anywhere near you."

I simply replied and with that her reaction got worse.

"Are you afraid of her. Why didn't you tell me."

She quickly shook her head and looked away.

"Charlie, what happened. Tell me."

She fidgeted and in an evident manner, internally deliberated whether to relay what happened or not.

"I know it was her. So you don't have anything to worry about."

At first, she was dragging her words...but when I rubbed her arms for comfort, she told me everything. I just nodded and caressed her face.

"I know she didn't mean it...it's because she loves you, your highness."

She even said in such sad eyes.

I pulled her to my embrace;

"Too much love. Almost a dangerous love..."

I muttered.

Yoongi suddenly came into view and bowed to me.

"Your highness, it's time."

After the ceremony, I informed Yoongi that I won't be staying too long and I want to get back to the palace as soon as possible. However I suddenly remembered that I wanted to get Charlie some sweets before getting back.

Inside the car, my adviser suddenly mentioned;

"Your highness, the Austrian monarchs are in the palace and his crown prince summons you to get back as soon as we can."

I sighed. I'll just have some fruit chocolates delivered in the palace then. But...did he say monarchs?

"Yoongi, monarchs? I was expecting that Seokjin would visit alone."

"The crown prince mentioned monarchs, your highness."

I don't want to assume...could it be... he's with...😐
