Two Wheels

Chapter 1

AFTER A LONG RIDE around the city, Redrick parted way with me and headed to his home, the sun is almost setting and I'm expecting Maya to be home by now, I opened the garage door and hung my bike on it's saddle then expectedly, Maya opened the sliding door behind me that walked passed a moment ago.
"How was the ride?- wait no, how's your leg?" She asked, concerned.
"It's fine, and how was work today?"
"It was tiring as always-bad obviously."
I walked towards her and slightly bent down, kissing her cheek gently and giving her a pat on the head.
"Did you just arrive?" I asked while sitting down, taking off my cycling shoes.
"A while ago, I wasn't feeling well."
"You weren't? I thought you were running around and cursing towards people in early morning?" I teased while smirking.
She snorted and chuckled.
"I'm just joking, I was just tired and bored"
"Then make me some snacks" I demanded while giggling
"Fine" she sighed. "But only sandwiches, I'm craving for some right now"
"Why not?" I happily replied and placed my cycling bag on the big shelf to the right of the sliding door and arranging my cycling shoes, the one with the clamp on the pedal of your bike.

I PASSED THROUGH her making sandwiches in the kitchen, I entered my room and changed clothes. I sat down at the barstool, behind me was our living room.
"Can you grab me a drink??" I asked Maya while she cooks. She slid the box of orange juice across the counter and I catches it. "Thanks." I said before gulping half of it. Moments later she handed me a plate of fresh ham sandwich, she placed two plates on the counter with the food on it. She walked across the hallway just to sit down and eat. Tturned on the TV while chewing my the food.
"When are you going to get a work?" Maya asked randomly.
"I honestly don't know" I said while chewing a mouthful and swallowing it in the middle of my sentence.
"You should find one soon or else you'll get kicked out by dad,"
"Uncle will just let me slide, besides, he likes it when I cycle."
We'd finish the sandwiches, I grabbed both plates and walked in the kitchen where I washed all the dirty dishes. After I clear the kitchen, I grabbed a book and sat down on a bean bag near our mini library just outside my room and beside the living room, Maya is minding her own business while waiting for the bathtub to fill. After I finish reading a chapter I looked at the time and remembered Maya's favorite shot was up, I got up and knocked on Maya's room.
"Yes Mak?" She asked behind the door
"Your favorite show is about to go on air."
"I'll be right there...."
"I'm gonna go to the bathroom if you need me." I said while heading to my room. I soaked in the bathroom for a while and washed my face. Maya greeted me outside the bathroom door.
"You done?" She asked.
"Yeah, I'm heading to bed later" I walked past her with my towel on my waist. I got in my room and got dressed up on my pajamas, a loose shirt and a jogging pants then got back into reading. Maya just came out from the shower wearing her pajama shorts and a top tank while watching TV. I closed my book and looked at Maya being childish and asked.
"Maya, would you mind if I bring a girl home?"
"As long as she have a good personality then why not."
"But it's kinda unfair since your boyfriend doesn't even come here, only on occasions." I said sheepishly
"I have a boyfriend???" She asked sarcastically while sitting upside down on the couch changing the channels on the TV.
"Ah, sorry..." I said even more sheepishly
"It's okay! You didn't know." She gotten up and went towards her room after turning the TV off.
"Sleeping now?"
"Yeah..." She frowned and went in. "Good night..." She said before closing t door.
"You too" I sighed and got up, locking the doors in our house before heading to sleep. I looked back in the living room to check anything suspicious but there was none, I flicked the witch and gotten in my room, closed the door, layed down and slept.
