Silent Christmas

Mai's Pov SPR Office;

So I'm back, here again. I go to make myself some tea when Naru demands I make him some too. What's his problem he can't even say please. Gene and I put up a Christmas tree in the office to which Noll said take it down which Gene than said,
"If you want it down Noll, do it yourself!"
"Gene this is an office the two of you already have two trees at home why do we need one here as well!"
"Because it's good to remember the happy things in life so that they can out weigh the bad. My mom use to say, ' just because it's lighting out does that mean we'll stop playing in the rain ' she always said that accidents happen but so do good things. Christmas is a good thing we're together you have your brother, Lin and a new little sister because good things happened. I'm going to make that tea now anyone else want some?"
Gene and Lin smiled slightly and nodded. While I was in the kitchen I heard the others who work with Naru and Kai I can't call them by their real names in front of the others as they are hiding their identity from the people who tried hurting Kai. I know that Kai helps with research mostly, and stays home for most of the investigations. So I overheard Ayako and Masako talking with Naru, Lin and Monk. Masako was flirting with Naru again. I let out a little laugh this is actually the first time she'll see the twins together. I brought out the tea for everyone with Kai's help. I saw all their eyes widened as everyone realized there were two of them! I decided it would be even funnier if I called Naru brother in Japanese,
"Here's your tea Ani."
I got a glare from Naru, a smile from Kai, and a slight smirk from Lin. I knew I pissed Naru off but Masako was annoying. Couldn't she tell that Naru wasn't interested in her in that way.
"Hey what do you mean Mai calling Naru 'Ani'?"
Monk asked me and I said,
"Oh that's simple. I'm a Shibuya too."
The shock on everyone's face was really funny and I couldn't help laughing.
"Mai stop you're being mean. Yes she's our adopted sister. We didn't tell anyone as we were trying to get her to come home." Gene gave the explanation that the Davis's had worked out that I left home due to a difference of opinion on my education. That I wanted to attend regular school, and our parents wanted me homeschooled. As my brothers were. So I ran off to Tokyo and went to school using my name before adoption. That's when Father Brown spoke,
"I have a case for us to look into it's the church I work with. We have a possession issue. A young boy who went missing 30 years ago. The following Christmas he possessed one of the children at the church, and has done so for the last 30 years. I'm hoping that you can help find out why he's doing this, and help him move on."
As Father Brown explained everything to Naru he said we'd help out with this case. We left almost immediately for the church. While Naru, Father Brown, and Father Tojo spoke about what was happening at the church. The rest of us played with the other children. I accidentally kicked the soccer ball into the woods and ended up finding a little boy hiding there.
"Hi what your name? I'm Mai. Hey wait where are you going?"
Something was up with that boy! I felt two people inside one body. So I followed him to the small space besides the aqueduct. Where he sat banging a stick on the ground,
"Hey I found you!"
I said to the boy just as Naru, Gene, Lin, and Monk made their way over to us. Just as they started to speak with me and him he ran up to Lin and said,
"DADDY!"
I saw the little boy hugging Lin super tight holding on to him like he was never going to let him go. Lin looked less than thrilled to be hugged by the little boy. I spoke softly to Naru,
"He's two instead of one Naru. He's being possessed by the ghost of another young boy named Kenji. You'll have to go carefully he won't leave now that he thinks he's found his father."
I watched Naru nod at me thinking about our current situation. And asked me quietly,
"Can you find out what he wants?"
"I can try. I just need to walk around and get a feeling for him. I'm going to find a quiet spot see what I can find out. Tell the others I have a headache."

Kazuya's 'Naru' Pov;

I watched as Mai walked away from the group. She was so gifted it  worried me. I worried that she could be endangering herself using her powers so often. I then found myself wondering if her gifts were as destructive as my own! If they could have the same effect on her body as did mine, but she didn't show any signs of it damaging herself like I did. If I was foolish enough to overuse my PK abilities. At best I'd end up in the hospital. At worst I could possibly die without proper intervention. She had told us of passing out when she used them. Before she started training herself, but what if she was hiding the damage she was doing to  herself. I, my brother, and Lin would have to keep an eye on her for any signs she was hurting herself. I spoke with my brother about what Mai was doing. Also that I was going to keep an eye on her as I didn't want her getting hurt or possibly hurting herself in trying to help.
