Three weeks later

Davis household
Oliver's ' Naru ' Pov;

"Mr. Davis sir there is someone here to see you he said he has some information about what's been happening to your family."
"Thank you Ella please show him in and get my father to join us as well. Also do you know where Mai is at this moment?"
"Of course sir, I believe Mai is in the kitchen with your mother along with Gene and Ayako."
Be sure that you tell my mother to stay with her until I know what this man wants!"
"Of course sir. I'll send your father right away and then head to the kitchen and help out. Just so you know everyone here really likes Miss Mai. We were really sad when she was ill. I hope you catch whoever hurt her!"
"Thank you Ella! I do too."
A few moments later my father entered the office. Followed by an older man. He reached his hand out and shook mine introducing himself to us.
"Hello I'm Dr. Daniel Knox I believe you've been looking for me. Or at least my so called family."
"Yes we have Sir, we've been looking for them. Can you please tell us why they are doing this?"
"Yes I can. My new daughter-in-law and her son came into our lives looking for a payout. When she realized that my son had no involvement in my businesses, she lost her mind. She convinced him to go after me to get my money, because of my original will. I've changed my will since. He'll get nothing on my death. It's air tight, but they don't know that yet. They tampered with my private plane. I knew the minute I touched it. I have a similar gift to yours Dr. Davis. A form of psychometry. I'll see pictures in my head of what's happened. So anyway I saw this and took active action and safely crashed my plane. This is where you and your family come in. It takes time to declare someone dead. They had to take a search for my missing plane. See if I was still alive, or find my body."
"So they needed SPR to find out if you were alive or dead or to locate the plane itself?"
I sat there listening. I then asked a question about Mai.
"Why would they go after Mai?"
"Her son is slightly psychic he can see pieces of the future. He must of saw Mai as a problem. So he's going and gone after her."
We spoke for the better part of the hour. All about the things his daughter-in-law could do as well as her son. His son had precognitive abilities. They went after us believing that my brother had seen what they had done to Dr. Knox. We offered him a place to stay, but he turned us down. Saying it was to much of a risk to us. To Mai!
"Who was that Naru?"
"He's the man SPR was hired to find dead or alive. He's the reason these people have targeted us, Mai."
"Ohh! So we know the who and why. Now we just need to figure out the where are they. Do you think they'll leave us alone now that we know?"
"Interpol is looking into it. But they are in the wind. Dr. Knox is going to making a plea for his son to come home. He's also letting him know he'll not inherit his fortune, or businesses. So his death will mean nothing to them."
Mai looked at me swaying on her feet her eyes closed once, twice on the third time she started to collapse. I barely caught her in time.
"Noll honey what happened to Mai?"
"She's blackout again, mom. It happens when she sees the future."
I lifted Mai into my arms and carried her to her bedroom. My mother right behind me. She pulled the blankets down. I laid Mai down, and covered her up. And prepared myself to wait for her to wake up.

Mai's Pov;

A few hours later

I woke up feeling heavy. My eyelids felt like they were super glued shut. My head started to pound.
"I'm thirsty!"
"Here Mai drink."
I took a few slow sips of water. As Naru wouldn't let me drink to much to fast. I couldn't open my eyes much the little bit of light coming into my room was hurting my head.
"My head hurts so bad Naru! I just want to go back to sleep."
"Then sleep Mai we'll talk about what you saw later when you feel better."
I felt Naru climb into bed with me and cuddled me close. I pillowed my head on his chest. I felt he had put his pajamas on. I also had pajamas on, mom must of changed my clothes. To be sure I was comfortable after my vision.
"They won't stop coming after us, Naru. They'll blame us for everything that they lost. When Dr. Knox tells them that he's changed his will. Taking away his money, will make them go crazy with rage."
I fell asleep right after I told Naru about it. I could feel him rubbing my back lightly. To help me sleep.

Noll ' Naru's ' Pov;

I held Mai as she slept. Holding on to my future. This woman and her family, wanted mine hurt or dead. I wasn't going to let this happen. I was going to make plans to set a trap for them! I was going to protect my family and my future with Mai!

I awoke early the next day. Leaving Mai asleep. I began my plans, working out the finer details. My father and brother entered my office a few hours later seeing what I was up to. I explained my plans to them.
"So you'll set a trap, how exactly? They have glimpses of the future. How are we going to get around that, son?"
"I think I have a plan, that puts that against them. If we release a press statement, that we are aware of who they are, what they are doing. That SPR is under attack by them. They will attack us during the press statement right before we tell who they are."
"If this works Noll we can have people ready to arrest them as soon as they make a move."
"Perhaps we'll have to have be sure that they are warded against their visions. I've had this room warded as well so we're private here."
"Noll, honey.... Mai's just woke up screaming we can't calm her down."
"I'm coming mother!"
I flew to from my office heading to Mai's bedroom. As I opened her door she jumped into my arms holding me tightly.
"What is it Mai?"
"They're going to come after us as soon as you announce the press statement outing them. They'll see it."
"Mai I'm setting a trap, and now that you've seen they're plan we've got them. This is just what we needed. Tell me everything you remember about your vision Mai."

Mai's Pov;

Naru made me go over my vision. From everything I saw, to even what I could smell. Even the clothes we were wearing.
"Naru we've gone over this there's nothing more I can see. I've given you everything I have. I'm tired now please we've been at this for hours."
"I'm sorry Mai come let's go to bed. I'll have mother bring you a tray of food. While you put on your pajamas."
I sat on my bed exhausted barely able to move I somehow managed to change my clothes. When Luella came into my bedroom. She held a tray of food just a light meal. As I still wasn't completely myself yet.
"Come sit back on the bed Mai and eat this."
"Okay Mom. This looks really good Mom."
My dinner tray had mom's homemade chicken noodle soup, grilled cheese sandwich, and my favorite crackers. I ate what little I could when Naru entered my room.
"I've got her mother you can go I'll leave the tray by the door, Ella can grab it."
He watched as our mom left the room. I tried to at least finish my soup.
"I'm done. I can't eat anymore."
"Mai you should at least try to finish the sandwich."
"I can't Naru I'm done, I can't eat anymore I just want to go to sleep now."
He picked up my tray and placed it outside of my door I curled up on my side and closed my eyes.
"Goodnight Naru."
"I'm going to change and I'll be back in a few minutes."

Naru's Pov;

When I returned to Mai's bedroom she was fast asleep. I knew I had to figure out how to stop these people as soon as Dr. Knox told his son he disinherited him. She would lose her mind on us. Believing that we caused this! I pulled Mai into my chest holding her as I fell asleep. I would continue to plan in the morning using Gene, my father and Mai's visions to help keep us safe.

Naru's Pov;
A few days later

"If the Interpol agents take the place of our staff members. I want photo identification for each one. We know what they look like so they won't be able to get inside of our house. But I want to be sure no one working with them, can get near any of us by pretending to be staff."
"If Mai's vision is correct Noll they'll come here that night, after the Doctor makes his announcement."
"And we'll be ready for them Gene! Mai and mother will stay in the unused staff area. Ms. Matsuzaki, and Ms. Hara will be there as well. Monk and Father Brown will guard the door to them we'll be locked inside father's office on the other side of those doors and let Interpol take them down. Because of the warding they can't see inside of the house or know what we're planning. So we have an advantage of surprise."
"Everything is in place Noll we just need to tell the doctor to make the announcement. We will come out the winners here son. And end their hold on us."
I knew my father was right. We were almost there, as good as done with all this. We would be safe, Mai would be safe and those responsible would be locked up.
"Let's move forward with this plan then. Let's get this done with."
And with that the plan was in motion.
