Calum's POV

We'd finished the UK leg of the tour and we were buzzing. We loved playing to our fans, meeting them, taking photos, receiving gifts... the whole thing was surreal. Never did the four of us imagine that we would ever get this far, from our bedrooms when we were just in our teens to world tours by the time we hit our twenties. We had really outdone ourselves. So, what better way to celebrate the tour than going out after the shows, drinking and chilling with our friends?

"You nearly ready?" Michael called out from the front door where he stood with Crystal, both ready to go out. Luke rushed past me to the bathroom and slammed the door shut, the noise echoing through the suite.

"Five minutes!" Ashton yelled from his room, slicking his hair in the mirror. I checked myself out once more before I headed to Michael, giving him and Crystal a smile.

"Alright?" I greeted Michael. "You look nice Crystal." She smiled softly in response. Her pink hair was curled to her shoulders and she wore a vintage style black dress with large roses printed on it. Michael, as usual, wore his long top, this one green, and baggy trousers paired with some trainers.

"Thank you." She said quietly as she looked me up and down and took in my outfit. I wore my usual too, skinny jeans, black boots and a white collared shirt worn under my black blazer. The shirt had a colourful snake design around the collar. "You do too."

Finally, the other two were ready; Ashton rocking a leather biker jacket and skinny jeans and Luke in flares with a bright silk shirt on, half unbuttoned.

"Sierra will meet us there, she's making her way with a friend." Luke announced as he pulled his jacket on, zipping it up as he prepared for the UK winter weather.

"Let's party!!" Ashton called as we headed out of the door and made our way to the club.

Everyone was here, having fun, yet something didn't fit right with me. Luke was chatting to Sierra, cuddled up in the booth. I could see by their expressions that they were so happy to see each other, glad to be spending time together after so long away because of touring. Crystal and Michael were dancing together on the dance floor, drinks left on the table to get warm. They were laughing at each other's bad dance moves and they weren't taking it seriously at all, which even made me smile. Ashton was talking to Sierra's friend Rebecca, who had been travelling on a gap year from university and had been talked into meeting us all which she was quite thrilled about, and they seemed to be getting on really well which made me happy for Ashton, but that pang in my gut hit again. I was lonely. There was no one looking forward to seeing me or vice versa. I was jealous that my friends had people and I didn't. What was wrong with me?

I huffed as I headed to the bar and ordered another whisky double.

"Couples deserted you?" The woman behind the bar joked. I merely pulled a face to say it was obvious. She was quite attractive; light brown hair that was layered down to her chest, light blue/grey eyes and plump pink lips. Her skin tone was slightly olive, but I guessed she was still English. "I didn't mean to offend you, you just looked glum." She said after she handed me my drink.

"You didn't." I answered quickly, not feeling like talking. "Thanks for this." I lifted the glass up as I turned my back to her and walked back across to the VIP section where my friends were all back together, sitting round the booth in deep conversation.

"There he is!" Ashton called out as he beckoned me over to sit beside him. "You okay buddy?" I faked a smile and nodded.

"Just thirsty!" I said cheerfully, receiving cheers from everyone around the table. We all clinked our glasses together and downed the drinks before Luke called a staff member over to get us some shots. Moments later, trays upon trays of shots arrived, all different colours and thicknesses, all vibrating from the heavy bass in the club. We all grabbed a shot glass and held it up.

"To 5SOS, friends and family!" Ashton toasted as we all cheered and down the first of many shots.

Before long, the club was beginning to thin out, people grabbing their bags and heading out to bigger and better things, or so we thought.

"Hey guys, sorry to interrupt but we close in half an hour, it's 4am." A bouncer came over to us, trying to act casual.

"4am?" Michael checked, the bouncer nodded. "Damn, time flies when you're having fun!"

"I am pretty tired..." Crystal said, the end of her sentence dragged out for effect. We all looked at each other and agreed we should head home. We all put our jackets on and finished up the last of the shots. As I stood, my head spun. I grabbed onto the table for stability as I waited for this feeling to pass, but it didn't. Did I really drink that much?

"You coming Cal?" Ashton called from the bottom of the stairs that led to the door out of the club.

"Yeah, one sec." I said as I quickly shut my eyes, hoping that would make me feel better. Damn those double whiskies. I took a few steps forward and wobbled, grabbing the handrail with two hands. How the hell was i meant to get home now? Slowly, I took each step one by one in the hopes I'd make it, but just as I smiled to myself thinking I'd done it, I missed a step and rolled down to the bottom, pain suddenly shooting up my leg and causing me to yell out.

My band mates were beside me within a second.

"Cal?" "What happened?" "You okay?"

"I slipped." I said through gritted teeth. "My leg..."
