Calum's PoV

Management had sorted it all out. Chanel and that awful tv show had been under scrutiny, having to pay us compensation and also air an apology live for everyone to hear. Safe to say, not long after that, it had shut down to our absolute delight! We all decided to celebrate at a local nightclub, getting everyone together for the first time since the whole thing had arisen. Once again, Poppy tried to remind me I should be in bed resting but once again, I denied her the luxury of being my nurse because she had to be my girlfriend instead and I refused her the ability to do both.

"You're so difficult sometimes, Cal." She said with a smirk as I grinned at her, knowing she wasn't even mad at me. We all headed to our rooms to get ready but as Poppy followed me in, her face fell.

"Pops?" I questioned, hobbling over to place a hand under her chin as I lifted her gaze back to me. "What's wrong baby?"

"I haven't got anything nice to wear..." she shrugged as I sighed in relief. Thank god it wasn't anything serious! Sometimes girls overreacted for the silliest reason.

"Babe, I'm not sending you out there in your pyjamas. That's why Crystal and Sierra are coming here... to help get you ready. We thought it'd be a nice bonding experience?" The last sentence came out more like a question than a statement. In all honestly, it was Michael's idea but I made it sound like a joint effort. Her smile picked up instantly.

"You're so sweet. Thank you." She said as she pulled me into a hug. Her sweet scent made me feel at home as I wrapped my arms around her protectively. Feeling her body close to mine always made me euphoric, wanting to drink her in and forget about everything around me. I wanted to spend all my time with her, learning more about her and ignoring the world. She was all I cared about. Before I realised quite what I was doing, I was kissing her. I put my hands either side of her head and pulled her face close to mine, locking our lips in a fit of passion. At first she froze under my touch but soon after, relaxed into it. We kissed each other passionately as our hands explored each other's bodies, not wanting this moment to end. I hobbled backwards and pulled her onto the bed with me, our lips not parting as we fell. Poppy fell on top of me, her legs moving either side of me as she straddled me, our kisses continuing. She began to unbutton my shirt, kisses trailing down my neck as I strained so hard to resist her. As much as I wanted her right now, it wasn't the best time for either of us especially when we were meant to be getting ready to go out.

"Poppy..." I groaned out, however it was more out of pleasure than telling her to stop. Reluctantly, I put my hands to her chest and pushed her away from me so our lips finally parted. We were sweating and heavily out of breath.

"I'm sorry!" She breathed as she jumped off me, a look of embarrassment spread over her. I sat straight up and held my hands up, defending her.

"No no no. It wasn't you." I rushed to make her feel at ease. "We were just getting carried away and, well, the girls will be here soon." I said, tugging uncomfortably at my trousers as a hint. Her eye-line followed my hand and realising what I was hinting, looked back up at me with a shy grin on her face.

"Right." She said, biting her bottom lip with her teeth. "Of course, sorry. I'll wait outside for you." She began to head for the door, but that feeling was back again, the one from the hospital where I never wanted her to leave.

"No! Wait!" I shouted louder than I needed to, causing her to spin around in shock. "If you don't mind, I'd be more than happy for you to wait in here until the girls get here. You can help me choose my outfit." I smiled shyly at her, worried that maybe I was coming across a little clingy but she simply smiled and nodded, taking a seat back down on the bed.

"I'll try not to be too much of a distraction." She laughed as she smirked flirtily at me.

"You can distract me as much as you want." I said as I kissed her gently once more. Before anything got carried away again, I headed for my wardrobe and opened the doors, looking for something that would pair well with my boot and crutches. I sighed dramatically.

"Cal?" Poppy asked as soon as she caught wind of my sigh.

"I'm going to look like an idiot in his boot." I said, lowering my head as I imagined the paps stories already. I heard Poppy get up and before I knew it, her arms were wrapped around my waist.

"You could never look like an idiot." She stated. "Do you have any flared trousers?" She wastes no time wading through my clothes as she pulled out my dark blue/black flared trousers and a white shirt. She threw them over to me with a smile. "You're going to look amazing." She beamed as I moved to get ready. I yanked off my top and trousers, for a moment forgetting that Poppy was even in the room until I heard a small gasp. I smirked to myself but hid it away when I looked round at her, acting like I was worried.

"What's wrong?" I questioned, watching as her eyes took every inch of my skin in for the first time.

"N-nothing." She stuttered, clearly distracted. "Your tattoos are beautiful." She added, hoping it wasn't too late. I let out a smile as I turned to her in just my boxers and boot.

"Thank you. Everything you see here is all yours." I said with a wink as I sprayed my deodorant and pulled my white shirt on. Poppy aided me in getting my flares over my boot but when I looked in the mirror I couldn't help but beam. I looked good. Poppy has made me feel good. "Wow, you can barely tell the boot is there." I grinned at Poppy, grateful for her helping me. She smiled back.

"You can't hide the crutches but they're fine!" She laughed as I pulled her towards me again, kissing her once more.

"Lovebirds!" Michael called from the living room. "The girls are here so stop screwing."

"Fuck you Mike!" I called back as I pulled my lips away from Poppy's.

"You've got her for that now!" I heard Michael shout back before a loud slap echoed the hallway.

"Ignore Michael!" Crystal called out. "Now where's my new bestie?"
