"We're here." Bradley said, pulling into a driveway in which was connected to a very large house, with tall, beautiful columns that had intricate designs along the tops and bottoms. Large window panes reached from the bottom up, exposing the tallness of the building. Bright green grass despite the gloom hanging over our heads lightened up the area. An elegant stone path lead up the side of the driveway to  beautiful french doors. The patio had a planter with lilies and lilacs dancing around about the soil, a brown swinging, wooden bench sat beside it.

The house was of great wealth, and I sat there unmoving in the passengers seat gawking at the sight, my mouth agape.

"Surprised, are we?" Bradley mused, looking in my general direction. I hadn't noticed before, but he'd been wearing a black and white suit with a thin tie; dress pants on his legs. His shoes were shiny, but looked old. I could tell he was a mix of modern and old fashion. At his comment, I swallowed nervously, my hands beginning to shake and my palms got sweaty. I nodded slowly.

"Just a bit."

"I can tell it's a little more than, 'just a bit'. You look terrified." He said teasingly with a chuckle. I shifted in my seat uncomfortably and bit my lip, my eyes not leaving the sight of the mansion. "I am."

Bradley's face softened, and he placed a hand on my shoulder; rubbing it softly and giving it a gentle pat. "It'll be alright. I'll be right at your side through the thick of it."

I looked at him, my eyes wide and a bit glossy. Being in large groups of people I never met before was my weak point. As an actor, I should be comfortable; laid back and outgoing during these types of situations. But even as one, anxiety dwelled beneath my skin and made my body tremble at the thought of being with those of who I didn't know.

But, it brought me comfort to see Bradley there, and know he'd be beside me. It warmed my heart to see him care so much, and know that it was genuine and not just a front. I've never experienced such a luxury since my parents died.

A smile formed on my lips, and my worries eased and faded away as the warmth of his hand made my skin tingle in delight. "Thank you." I rasped, feeling grateful. Though meeting Bradley only a couple of times, I had already begun to feel close to him in such a short period of time.

"Shall we head on in, then?" Bradley asked with a small smile, his hand sliding off my shoulder. I had missed the touch instantly, the warmth leaving and being replaced with cold. However, the warmth that dwelled in my chest remained.

"We shall."
