After some rest at grandma's clinic, I walked southward towards the Fickle forest -- yes, I named it -- to begin my training with Uncle Kan, also known as the Vlad King. His main training for me would just be strengthening and speed exercises, as he is much stronger than the average human -- I swear I once saw him lifting Uncle Mic with a single hand and throwing him to the wall with enough power to crack the concrete. Despite his tremendous size, he sure moves relatively fast. I'll also have to try to dodge his quirk, which is blood manipulation.

I pushed against a sleek doorknob of a two-metre metallic door, finding Uncle Kan in the middle of a flat, open stretch of ground. A plain of hardpacked dirt, back facing me. I cracked my knuckles. Time to test my new skill. In no time at all, I seemingly teleported as a bright, white light onto Kan's back and did a triangle choke, pinning him to the ground. He didn't make an attempt to move, however. He only chuckled quietly. "Nezu told me about your new skill."

I released him from my grip, stretching my shoulders. "Which is?"

"You can travel at the speed of light, but you can't control it."

I shrugged. "I only found out that I could do that yesterday -- what I mean is that I was only able to ambush you successfully because you were standing still. If you weren't stationary, I would've probably --"

"Flown to the moon. Exactly."

I huffed and folded my arms on my chest. "Okay, what are we doing today?"

"We going to race and do some combat training -- no, without our quirks. A hero who neglects to sharpen his blade is no hero at all. He's just a boastful brat who's swinging a rustic sword. C'mon now. We better get started."

I trudged clumsily into my bedroom and rolled into a burrito after my math lesson with Dad

I trudged clumsily into my bedroom and rolled into a burrito after my math lesson with Dad. AHHHHHHH! How I wish I got high specs instead of my quirk. Math would be so much easier.

I turned to look out through the high panorama of clear glass, spotting the brilliant light of the Moon, Luna. Legend said that the Moon ghost was quite the beauty, and the rumoured wife of the person with the first quirk: All for One, along with all the spirits of the deceased wives of the successors of One for All. When she was no more, her husband buried her himself on the night of the full moon, making her known as The Guardian of the Moon -- also probably the reason why All Might hasn't found someone 'special' yet. The legend is almost extinct, and I haven't met anyone who knows of her. Strangely enough, I believe that she is able to talk to me. It's like I could see her ghost and hear her voice. It's soothing, like a mother's. It's calming,  like the waters. And it's tranquil and soft, like the night. The moonlight streams in expectantly, knowing I would come to it. I whispered in her ear about my dreams and nightmares as she caressed my hair. She only comes once every month to listen, talk and play with me. I know she needs it, I think we both do.

And finally, in a month, I had a dreamless sleep.
