3rd Person

The moment Ojiro and (L/n) stepped out of the arena, and a crowd eager students immediately flooded them.

"That was so cool, (N/n)!" Ashido cheered. "You kicked Todoroki's butt back there!"

"Mr Ojiro and Miss (L/n)! That was a spectacular show of unlimited power of your quirk! A great and deserving place in Yuuei Academy! I firmly believe--"

"Hmph, you still need a cape."

"Woah, that was so manly!"

"You were like pow and then swish and ka and then youfff."

(L/n) smiled brightly at the compliments being thrown her and her companion's way, muttering 'thanks' now and then. But every so often, her eyes would linger to a lone figure at a corner of the room, very unusually blending into the background as a small, trembling shadow. Her eyes held sorrow, and regret but her mouth was still twitched up into a genuine smile. She was sure he had noticed her stealing glances in his direction, yet did not move a muscle. It pains her, yet it hurt him even more.

"Well done, everyone." All Might's ending speech boomed over the students. "No serious injuries, apart from Midoriya's! You all did splendidly well, considering this was our first training exercise! Great teamwork, and good efforts! And... coming after Aizawa, such a straight-forward class is... almost a letdown... We, teachers, are free to hold practical classes if we choose! Now, I'm off to give Midoriya his evaluation. Change out of those costumes and head back to your classroom!" In a flash, All Might was off, coughing into his hands.

The girls went to the left side of the arena where the female bathroom was while the boys headed to the right.

"Man, today was exhausting!" Ashido signed, leaning onto (L/n) who was tying her tie. "But All Might as our teacher? I can die happy now!"

"What about the romance part?" Toru teased.

"Oh yeah! And that part!" She jumped back up,  (L/n) still pulling her tie.

"Can you please stop moving--"

"HmMMMmmm... Who shall I marry..." Ashido twirled and sat back down, a finger tapping her chin in mock thought, ignoring her tie strangling her.

"OhmIgAWd. Ashido,"  (L/n) pulled her tie through another loop. "Stop movi--"

"Oh! What about Yurio?"

Toru laughed. "Didn't you say 5 seconds ago that you would marry Kyoka?"

"And him too!" Ashido was now jumping up and down in excitement. "And Levi and Sasuke and Kanek--"

"No!" Toru waves her invisible hands around frantically. "He belongs with Touka!"

Ashido gasps dramatically. "AHHHHHHHHH! I'm so sorry!" She begins bowing on the floor, hitting her head against the ground. "I will kill myself a million times for this sin! Please forgive me great Sui Ishidaaaa!!!"

"Ashido!" All the girls shouted, begging her to stop hitting her head on the titles.

(L/n) left the room quietly after finally having forced the tie onto her, beads of sweat dripping down her temple, not wanting to deal with any more of Ashido's -- what she calls -- 'otakuness'.

(L/n) trudged down the hallway, smiling weakly at the occasional passing by of some teachers and students, following crowds of chattering students here and back, back and forth, listening to snippets of what they were saying.  (L/n) turned and slid open the door of the hospital wing slightly, hearing muffled voices.

"...the responsibility that those who wield the power must bear!" A voice of Uncle Yagi sounded.

"Then it's all the more important that you teach him properly!" Grandma lectured. (L/n) scanned the room, witnessing a skinny blond man sitting on a white, and finally a white mushroom. (L/n) was about to turn and leave after not being about to find a certain broccoli, not wanting to eavesdrop.

"... on (Y/n) too. Aizawa was their form teacher for this very reason."

(L/n)'s ears perked up and turned around at the sound of her name.

Uncle Ai?

"She was rescued by him after all, so it would only make sense. And... don't let her get too close to Todoroki. Something happened between them when they were still children... Endeavour knows how to play his games, doesn't he?"

Recused? Todoroki? And Endeavour?

Uncle Yagi stiffened and turned away to face the window. Grandma rose an eyebrow. "What?" No response. "You put them together for Hero Training today, didn't you?"

Still no response.

Grandma sighed. "I told you before that you should spend more time with your daughter, didn't I?"

Still no response.

"I know, I know, she reminds you of Marike, doesn't she? The same hair colour, same voice, same laugh..." Grandma twirled the red medicine in my hand solemnly." It pains you. It pains you that you couldn't save her, that you promised her you would rise to the No.1 hero together, that you couldn't save (Y/n) when she was alone -- just like how you lost Marike... that poor girl." Grandma mumbled the last part to herself, a tear escaping her left eye. "You should have told her years ago that she was your biological daughter -- yet you shied away, followed her when she was out alone, scattered pieces of evidence she never found and left her searching for almost 7 years."

The atmosphere was thick and suffocating, a clean-cut of a slice of a knife could cut it in half. After what seemed like centuries, All Might spoke,

"I can't."

"Tell her."

"I can't."

"Trust me, Toshinori."

"I can't."

"Believe in her."

"I-I CAN'T!" Uncle Yagi lost his cool. "I can't! I just can't! (L/n) would never forgive me! If Marike finds out I ignored her -- our daughter in front of her eyes -- she would never forgive me!" Beads of tears rolled down his cheeks. "No... It's too late now..."

A slight cough behind them brought them to their senses and their heads around.

"(L/n)?" Uncle Yagi wiped his eyes frantically. "W-What a-are you d-doing h-here?"

"What did you hear?" Grandma fumed despite an excited and mischevious twinkle in her iris, as if nodding at (L/n) in approval.

"I... when I heard Todoroki."

Uncle Yagi stiffened even more and shrunk under (L/n)'s gaze. "So... I think we came off to a bit of a wrong start, didn't we, dad?"

"I-uh-d-dd-d-don't k-k-now w-what y-yy-you're t-t-talking about."

"I heard everything." (L/n) rushed out of the room, tears brimming the corners of her eyes. Her dad was right under her nose all those years and she never knew. Not even a clue. Isn't that just pathetic? (L/n) laughed humorlessly.

And isn't Marike... she looked up at the evening sky.

The lady on the moon?
