"No time to waste on that stuff if you want to become heroes," uncle Ai responded back lazily, not casting her a single glance -- everyone was just as confused and stood rooted to the ground. "U.A. is known for its 'freestyle' education system. This applies to teachers as well." Uncle Ai finally turned around, not bothering to roll his eyes. "The department of education is just procrastinating. This country still insists on prohibiting quirks when calculating the averages of those records. It's not rational. Bakugo. How far could you throw in middle school?"

"Sixty-seven meters." Sparky looks up nonchalantly, already knowing where this is going.

"Do whatever you need to do." Uncle Ai throws a ball to Sparky. "Great. Now try with your quirk -- Give it all you got."

"Awesome." Sparky threw his arm back, positioned for throwing. Little sparks started to erupt from his fingertips, slightly burning the ball. "DIE!!!"

Ah, 705.2 m. I ignored all the confused looks from my classmates -- which they recovered from soon after.

"Whoa! This is so awesome!"

"705 meters? Seriously?"

"So we can use our quirks for real! Man, the hero course is so great!"

"Amazing, isn't it?" Jirou smiled in Yaoyozuro and I's direction.

"Well, it's to be expected." I smiled faintly. Yaoyozuro nodded excitedly. You could have done better, Sparky.

"... Awesome... You say?" Uncle Ai's expression turned dark by the second -- if it could get any darker. "You're all hoping to become heroes after three years here... And you think it's all going to be fun and games?" His lips curled into a lopsided smile. "Right. The one with the lowest score amongst all eight events would be expelled.

Sparky's face twisted into a deformed shape of corrupted malice. Deku-- Midoriya's teeth were chattering as fast as my quirk, Uraraka's lips were twitching, and Iida's glasses shined.
