Chapter 2 - A Deceitful Trail

"My name is Katsune. Takane Katsune. Pleased to meet you." she bows.

"O-Oh.. Kodoku Rouji. Likewise. W-Wait! H-How did you get in my house in the first place?!" he interrogates her.

"Huh? Ah. Well, your fence was low enough for me to jump over with."

Ah.. what a dumb question of mine. No wonder I got robbed last month.

"Then, why are you here?" he asks her.

"Please, let's go inside first. I don't want to be outside. Please, you need to help me." she begs.

"How do I know I can trust you?" 

"Because I trust you that you'd help me!" her eyes look straight into his.

S-She looks like she's really serious about it.. Perhaps I really should help her...

"Hmm.. Okay then.. but you better not do something stupid or you'll regret it. Now, let's go inside." he unlocks the back door of his house.

"Thank you so much!" she hugs him.

"A-Aah!" he surprisingly shouts.

Why is she hugging me all of a sudden?! Could it be that she's just seducing me and rob my house after she kills me?! Oh god please no! Well I'll be careful and keep a watchful eye on her.

"O-Okay you're welcome. Can we go inside now?" he asks.

"Y-Yes!" she lets go of him and smiles.

They went inside from the back door. The inside of the house was practically small. The kitchen led directly to the back door and just beside the kitchen was a small table and four chairs, which he considered as a dining room. At the far side of the house were two bed rooms and before it was the guest room. 

As the two walk through the kitchen, the girl looked around the house.

"Do you live alone?" she asks.

"Yeah."

"Really? Then, is this your own house? Or do you just rent?"

"It's my own."

"How old are you anyway?"

"18."

"Oh. Me too. Hehe. Why do you live alone?"

"That's none of your busi-.. Wait, why are you the one asking questions? I'm the one who should ask you!" he looks at her.

"Ehehe sorry about that. I just got curious." she smiles at him.

Tch.. why does she look so cheery? She's definitely planning something.

"Sit on the mat there and wait for me while I get changed. DON'T try anything suspicious." he warns her.

"Huh?! Of course I won't!" she says as she's shocked of what he said.

Rouji goes inside one of the rooms and gets changed while Katsune remains sitting outside in the guest room. After changing his clothes, Rouji comes outside and sees Katsune holding his Katana (sword). 

"W-What do you think you're doing?! Let go of that!" he runs towards her.

"E-Eh?" she turns around to him.

"Uwaa!" he shouts.

Rouji has tripped on the mat and fell on top of Katsune. As they stare closely right into each other's eyes, Rouji reacts and grabs his Katana.

"S-Sorry!" he quickly gets off of her.

"I-It's okay.." she blushes.

"What were you doing? I told you not to do anything." he sits in front of her.
