Chapter 7 - The Crimson Crescent

A cold breeze, the wind had to offer. The sea's breeze swept the entire harbor park. Rouji stood at the wide terrace and held on the steel bars that stood out at the edge of the terrace. He wore a hoody that covered his head.

Hmm.. it's nice to go out once in a while.

"Rouji-kun, are you okay?" a girl's voice speaks.

Katsune wore a cute, skirted dress as she walked towards Rouji.

"Hm? Yeah." he looks at her.

"Really? You seem sad."

"Ah, it's nothing. I just got a bit carried away with the breeze."

"Okay. Hehe." she smiles.

"Are you enjoying?" he asks.

"Yeah! Thanks for taking me out here. I really appreciate it." she gets closer to his side.

"It's nothing. Besides, you must be bored of being inside the house and the dojo."

"Yeah. I get lonely when you're not there." she looks at the sea.

"I'm sorry about that." he says.

The soft waves splash on the sea wall of the park. Rouji and Katsune stood beside each other in a sweet silence. Other people passing by was looking at the two of them with a mysterious stare. Rouji notices them and looks at them as he turned his head.

Huh? Why are people staring so much at us?

"What's the matter?" Katsune asks.

"Ah! N-Nothing. I just got startled a bit. Nevermind it." he looks straight forward again.

"Geez. You're such a weirdo."

People must have thought that we're a couple.. it does look like we're on a date. And it also feels like a date.

"Hey, Rouji-kun.." she touches his arm.

"What is it?" he looks at her.

"Um.. I'm a bit hungry." she blushes.

"Oh.. right. We haven't eaten dinner yet. Let's drop by at the nearby restaurant then." he takes his hood off.

"Hehe okay!" she giggles.

They walk side by side as they headed towards the restaurant outside the harbor park. As they passed through people, guys were staring at Katsune.

Those guys.. they're staring too much at Katsune.. hmm.

"Hey Katsune-san, won't you hold my arm?"

"Eh? What do you mean?"

"Just do it.." he whispers as he opens his right arm as she was on his right side.

Katsune then clings on his arm as they walked.

"What are you plotting again? Don't tell me you're being perverted right now." she whispers back.

"No. It's just people are staring too much at you. At least it'll take some attention off."

Instead of losing attention from the people that stared at them, they attracted more attention.

"Man, they look good together." a guy says. "Yeah, they must be very intimate couples right?" another one says.

"Hey, hon. I'm getting a bit envious here.." a girl says to her boyfriend.

Nggh! What the hell!

"Rouji-kun..."

"Ehehehe... I had no idea that would happen.." he says.
