Chapter 11 - A New Moon

Ah.. I can't move my body. It hurts so much..

Rouji lied on the cement floor. He opens his eyes a bit as he curled up in pain.

Katsune..

His view was blurry but he recognizes Katsune as she fought Tatsuko. It was a fierce battle between the two.

Again, I couldn't defend her in such battles. Goddammit.

Rouji tries to get up from the cold, cement ground but no matter how hard he tries, he just couldn't. He looks at his sword which was just above him.

I have to fight for Katsune..

He tries to grab his sword and pulls it toward him. He notices Katsune having more than one tail.

Is it.. just me or.. Katsune.. has three tails?

Katsune moved with agility as she manipulates her orb and fox-fires together to attack Tatsuko. But she was unsuccessful in every attempt to attack him.

Katsune.. please.. wait for me..

He tries to get up and finally gets on one knee. He feels a sting at his side and holds his wound.

Ah.. it hurts..

He looks at his hand that was full of blood.

Katsune throws her fox-fires at Tatsuko but he targets them with his wind missiles and quickly disappeared.

Shit. Even with my fox-fires I couldn't hit him. It can move really fast and track targets as I have noticed. But with Tatsuko being able to throw his wind wall, I won't be hitting him.

"What's the problem Katsune-chan? Giving up already?" he asks.

Katsune looks at the pervading wind wall that was in front of Tatsuko.

Wait.. his wind wall can only block at one direction. He's totally vulnerable from the sides. But I can't manipulate my fox-fires to flank him either. I have to smoke him out of his shell.

Katsune runs toward Tatsuko and summons her fox-fires at her side.

I can only summon three fox-fires per round. It's probably because I only have three tails for now.

"Hah. What do you think you're doing?" Tatsuko says as he summons wind missiles again and attacks Katsune.

She quickly dodges them and keeps running toward him.

I hope this'll work.

She throws her orb away and stops at her position. She manipulates her orb to circle around and attack Tatsuko from behind. Quickly realizing the danger, Tatsuko summons another wall of wind at the direction where Katsune's orb was heading for. From behind him.

Shit. I knew it.

She manipulates her orb to change direction and try to attack at his right and she ran to the other side. Tatsuko wasn't able to see Katsune as he was facing the other side and summons a wind wall.

Gotcha!

She orders her fox-fires to attack from where Tatsuko was off-guard. The fires was so fast and before Tatsuko realized it, he was hit by the three of them.

"Gahh!" he screams in pain and fell on the ground.

My plan to manipulate my orb to go around his wind wall and attack at another direction with my fox-fires actually worked.
