Tomato Soup

Serves 3.

Ingredients:

4 medium sized tomatoes
1 carrot
1 onion
Little piece of ginger
1 spoon Salt
2 spoon Sugar
Cinnamon (Dalcheeni)
Cloves (Loung)
Black Cardamom (Badi elaichi)
(We can use a slice of apple too.)

Other Ingredients (Not used in Step 1):

Black Pepper (Kali Mirch)
Cumin (Jeera)
Ghee (Google tells me it is called clarified butter in english. Sounds new to me though...)

Directions:

1. Take a pressure cooker and add some water. Add all the above ingredients in water and give one whistle and then let it cook for 5 minutes on low flame.

After that, let it cool down.

2. When it cools down, blend it using a hand blender for some time and then strain it through a strainer.

3. After straining, we need to let the soup cook.

For this, taste the soup and add salt and black pepper as per your taste.
Boil it once and let it cook for a few minutes.

4. After the soup is cooked properly, heat jeera in some ghee and add it to the soup.

The soup is ready to be enjoyed.

P.S. You can also add some bread crumbs or boiled macaroni or cheese for flavour.
