Ingredients:Purified Butter (Ghee)- 3-4 serving spoon
Sooji (Google says it's Semolina in english)- 1 bowl
Gram flour (Besan) - 1 serving spoon
Sugar (equal to the sooji)
Water (4 times the sooji)
Dry fruits- Thinly sliced Almond and raisinsDirections:
1. Heat some purified butter/ghee on low flame and add sooji and gram flour to it. See that the sooji and gram flour mixes properly and if there is any need to add more purified butter then add it.
2. Roast it till it starts emitting a delicious smell and it is of golden-brown shade.
3. Add sugar, dry fruits and mix them properly. Immediately, add water (which is four times the amount of sooji taken by you)
5. Make sure there are no lumps.
4. Keep stirring till it becomes thick and the halwa stops sticking to the sides of the pan. (It happens because the purified butter contained in it is separated.)
P.S. If the halwa gets too dark, you can add a little milk along with water. Milk lightens the shade immediately.
