"Celeste, you don't have if you don't want me to," I tell her but I can tell she can't hear me "Celeste?" I ask worried she just standing there but all of a sudden she runs I stand for a moment and then run after her but she gets to her house and I watch her run in her front door my wolf takes me by surprise and shifts us but runs away he howls out I can feel the sorrow in it and he just keeps going and soon I hear a response my pack are howling in loss at there luna with me and I know she can hear it
Celeste pov
I can hear it why he can't or we will be found but my wolf fighting with me so hard why?
' why? WHY? because he is our mate he won't tell anyone to let me talk to him!' she yells at me in my head
'no, if I let you out you will go to him' I yell back she wines at me ' he can't know yet' I take a breath 'not yet' she stops and we lesson to the howls on the wind but I need it to at least shift I fall on my floor shifting my dark blue fur pops out as my bones rearranged in a large wolf form and I howl out to them I can feel Hunter close so I crouch down on the floor
'Celeste is everything okay do you need help?!' my brother panics through the mind link he rushes up to my room to see me crouched on the floor and I can feel Hunters stare at him as he shuts the window and the curtains and he walks to me and sits by me petting my head to calm me down and I start to calm down to the point where I'm half asleep I can feel the calming waves all of them are sending me through the family link and it puts me to sleep faster than just the petting
'mommy' I wine through the link
'almost there sweetheart' she whispers back to me I fall asleep as she starts to sing a lullaby and dream of other worlds far from there.
back to Hunter pov
I can feel her hurt I want to help but I'm the cause I can see the shadows through the curtain but she won't call for me why my mate doesn't need me what do I do she needs help but her family is there I can't leave not when she's like this...
——— 2 hours later———
She's asleep after her mom got home I felt relief come from the house but I hear rustling from behind me but she is fine and safe
I can hear many things in the forest but there is an unknown growling many of them
'Leon where is the west patrols' I ask my beta
'The west? Um... one moment' he responds after a few seconds he gets back
'Um... non responsive I'm sending out more wolves is Luna ok?' He asks but I know he's just worried but my blood starts to boil
'She's fine and a sleep and I want her to stay that way' I tell him 'just fine out what's out there I'm going to stay here to watch her got it' I tell him with a slight sour tone but I can feel his submission through the link
'Sorry alpha just worried and that's fine they will be taken care of' I walk up to her house and knock on her door her brother opens the door and glares at me
"What do you want" he asks with venom
"Some wolves have made it past the border and I'm here to make sure she's safe " I tell him looking him right in the eyes his eyes widen in surprise
"Past the border?" He runs inside leaving the door open for me when I get in I close the door and feel his dad run up the stairs to her room his wife is up there with Celeste keeping her calm all of a sudden...
