Violet's POV
I woke up early and saw Andy laying with his face down in the pillow. I frowned and rubbed his bare back. I knew he would be hungover this morning and I assumed everyone would be. I decided to get up and go downstairs. I saw that the kitchen was still empty as everyone was sleeping. I made a cup of coffee for him and I decided to make him some hashbrowns and bacon to help his hangover. I found where Jeff kept the pots and pans and made a bunch for everyone. After I finished cooking it was about 9:30. I cleaned up and left the food on the kitchen island with a note telling everyone to eat them. I made Andy a plate and carried it back up to his room.
Andy was still laying down when I entered the room. I quietly closed the door and set the food and coffee down on the nightstand. I sat next to him and shook him slightly. "Andy wake up," I said and he groaned and looked at me.
"What time is it?" He asked as he turned to face me, clutching his head.
"Just past 9:30. I made you breakfast." I said and he smiled and pulled me to sit on the bed with him.
"You did?" He asked as he kissed my cheek.
"I figured you could use it after everything," I said and he picked up the plate and started eating.
"And did you also undress me?" He smirked at me as he ate.
"No, I helped you take a shower and you refused to get dressed so I left you to sleep like this," I said and he chuckled.
"Right. I remember." He said, causing me to smile and roll my eyes. I got off of the bed to go get dressed and ready for the day. After he finished eating we decided to go downstairs to hang out with the others. Jackson was sitting on the couch on the phone with someone while he was going through some sort of notebook or planner. By the sounds of his phone call I assumed he was making funeral arrangements for Todd. Rose and Stephen were sitting at the kitchen table so I decided to join them.
"We need to help Jackson clean out Todd's office and his room here as soon as possible," Stephen said to Andy as he sat next to me.
"I know we do. It's going to be hard going through all his things." Andy replied sadly.
"Well maybe while you do that, Violet and I can go to our apartment to hang out for a few hours," Rose said and Stephen glared at her.
"That's a good idea actually. I need to get more clothes if we are staying here anyway." I said and Andy gave me the same dirty look.
"Guys c'mon. We will be fine. You took care of all the big bad Cobras that were after us." Rose teased Stephen making him angrier.
"You know there are more of them out there. I don't like the idea of the two of you running the streets unsupervised," Stephen warned and Rose went to hug him.
"No running the streets then. We will simply drive to our apartment and stay put until you guys are done for the day. Then we will come back. Please?" She begged him. He stared at Andy and Andy shrugged, not willing to put up any more of a fight, probably knowing how stubborn we could be.
"Fine. You can take my car to your apartment where you will call me to tell me you made it safely." Stephen said. Rose kissed him and smiled. I walked back over to Andy who was giving me a daring look.
"We will be fine. I promise." I said and he pressed his mouth into a hard line before hugging me.
"Just be careful. I know I can't keep you locked up forever, but I would certainly prefer it that way." He said and I giggled.
"I'm not giving you a choice in the matter. Have a good day and I will see you tonight, okay?" I said and he nodded.
"Okay. Have fun." He said and I smiled. Rose was twirling the keys to Stephens car around her finger and we exited the house. Rose was driving like a maniac, pushing the expensive car to its limits. I gripped the leather door handle, hoping she wouldn't get us pulled over or wrapped around some tree off the highway. I knew if I asked her to slow down it would only encourage her to get the speed into triple digits, so I bit my tongue and stayed distracted on my phone.
Andy had already begun his overprotective texting. -Anything suspicious?- He asked.
-No, we are still on the highway right now. No one could possibly follow us at the speeds Rose is driving- I sent back with a stressed out emoji face.
-Tell her to slow down. Can't have my future wife mutilated from a car accident ;)- I rolled my eyes. He was so pushy when it came to trying to claim me.
"Who's that?" Rose asked who I was texting.
"Andy, just being his crazy possessive self," I said. I realized that he was actually serious about the proposal. He was certifiably insane.
-HA, future wife. Sure- I sarcastically replied.
"What's he doing?" She asked. I realized I hadn't told her about the pre-proposal yet.
"Well, the night of the shootout, he sort of asked me to marry him," I said quietly causing her to slow down and pay attention to me. Her mouth dropped and she stared at me.
"WHAT?!" She blurted out.
"It wasn't anything official. But yeah, he asked me and I said it was too soon, and you know Andy, so now he's just calling me his future wife," I said shrugging.
"Why didn't you tell me?" She asked.
"I don't know, because it's stupid? It wasn't a real proposal, it's just him trying to claim me as his once again." I rolled my eyes.
"Vi, he wants to marry you. Andy, the Spade, wants to get hitched. This is a big deal!"
"It really isn't," I trailed off as my phone vibrated
-Maybe if I buy you a ring you will change your mind- He said and a huge smile uncontrollably appeared on my face. Was I actually considering marrying this man?
"It is! You're finally in love and happy. While Andy isn't my favorite person in the world he treats you nicely and makes you happy. That's enough for me. So when is the wedding? I was thinking a nice fall wedding, outside-"
"Rose," I cut her off, "No wedding. Do you see a rock on my finger?" I held my left hand up, "No, because he didn't propose, and we are not getting married. Not right now." I said
-Do not buy me a ring, Andy. I don't need or want one- I replied.
"Not right now. But who knows what the future holds!" Rose optimistically said.
-I won't stop asking until you say yes. Then we can pick one out together- He said, causing me to smile again. He was serious.
-I told you it's too soon- I tried to talk him out of the crazy idea. It hasn't even been a year since he kidnapped me and now he wants to marry me.
-Well, call me crazy then. You have no idea how persistent I can be Sweetheart- I shook my head.
-Trust me, I know. You were calling me yours before I even knew your name- I joked, knowing it would make him laugh.
-You have been mine since the moment I saw you. Stay safe. I will see you tonight- He replied. I hoped he wouldn't really keep asking me, but knowing Andy, he was probably already calling me his fiance.
