Violet's POV
"I've decided that you guys are going to take us out tonight." Rose said as we sat and ate the dinner that Jeff prepared. He seemed to always be the one who was cooking in the house, but the food was always good so I couldn't complain. I didn't exactly expect to see Andy pick up a spatula any time soon.
"Is that so? And where do you think we are going?" Stephen asked. They had gotten over the night when we ran away and seemed to be enjoying our presence more.
"I'm still not so sure you deserve to go out after you took off with Violet last week. And that little prank you pulled won't go unnoticed." Andy said glaring at Rose. I rolled my eyes and gently touched his hand that was resting on his thigh.
"I'm not apologizing for either of those things so you better just get over them," Rose remarked and I rolled my eyes. "Anyway. We should go to a club! Normally Vi and I would just go to have fun but since I know you two won't be letting us go anywhere alone I suggest we all go. Even Jeff can come if he would like to." She said. I smiled at her. Getting out of this house and going dancing did sound like fun.
"That's a great idea! It's Friday night. I want to go out. Come on guys it will be fun!" I said. Andy looked at me daringly.
"You want to go out dancing?" He asked me and I nodded
"It will be fun! Plus I'm a journalist did you forget? If I don't submit my articles on what's what in this town I could lose my job. So technically I need to do this." I said. I was surprised I hadn't been fired yet considering I never went to the office. The RM Times was surprisingly okay with me doing my writing from home as long as I was writing.
"I'm down to go out. What are you going to wear?" Stephen asked smirking at Rose. She rolled her eyes but I could tell she was blushing. She had really started to warm up to him.
"We are going to go get ready. Make yourselves look presentable and we can leave at 9." Rose said. I got up from the kitchen table and began to follow Rose out of the kitchen when I felt a hand my wrist. I turned to see Andy looking apprehensive.
"What?" I asked.
"I don't want you thinking you'll be dancing with any other guys. Don't forget you belong to me." He said. I sighed and nodded.
"I won't dance with other guys. Do you even dance?"
"Not so much. But that doesn't mean I'm going to let you go to a club without me."
"So I can't dance with you, or with anyone else? You have been to a club before right?" I asked and he glared at me.
"Dance with Rosalie. Go get ready. Nothing too revealing." He instructed and I pulled my hand away.
"I'll wear what I please," I said and he smirked and quickly pulled me into his body. He kissed me tenderly and pulled away, releasing his grip on my hips.
"Why do you always need to defy me?" He asked.
"I've never been one to take orders," I said biting my lip.
"We will fix that someday. Go get ready." He said and I spun on my heels and left the room.
"What are you going to wear?" I asked Rose as I began looking through the closet.
"I was thinking this." She said holding up a sheer black shirt with a baby pink skirt.
"Damn girl. You planning to get with Stephen tonight?" I joked and she laughed.
"Maybe. It's the first night out that we have had since the masquerade party. I want to look nice." She said. I frowned remembering that night. If we had never gone to that party we wouldn't even be here right now. We would be home living in our apartment safely. But I guess I would never have met Andy either. I hadn't decided how I truly felt about him yet.
"Fair enough. Okay, I guess I will wear this. Andy is going to kill me." I took a short black dress out of the closet and matched it was some tall black heel boots.
"Who cares! Despite what he seems to think he does not own you. Why do you let him think that he does?" She asked. I shrugged as I pulled on the dress.
"Honestly I don't know. Sometimes it's just easier to not fight him on everything. It's not like it's bad to be called his either."
"You fall too fast." She said and I rolled my eyes.
"I'm not in love with him. He's just nice to be around sometimes. He makes me feel safe." I defended myself.
"Uh huh. And kissing you every five minutes makes you feel safe too, I bet."
"I'm not complaining about him kissing me. He's hot and that's definitely an added perk. But that's all we are doing and I'm keeping it that way."
"I just want you to be careful. I don't trust him."
"You don't like him. There's a difference."
"I don't like or trust him. I'm still not even sure The Cobras are after us." She said as she began straightening her hair.
"I don't think they would keep us if they weren't though," I commented.
"I know that they would. They're crazy and possessive and we can't forget that we are being forced to live in The Spade's house.
"I know. Let's just take it one day at a time. It's not like I'm the only one falling for a Spade here." I said and she stayed silent, probably knowing I was right.
When we arrived at the club the music was playing loudly and people were dancing all over the floor. Some people stopped to stare, probably recognizing Stephen and Andy.
"Let's go get drinks!" I yelled to them over the music. We walked over to the bar and ordered drinks. After we finished our first round I was already feeling a bit tipsy.
"I want to dance. Guys go find a couch. Let's go Vi." Rose said as she pulled me to the dance floor. We stood in the middle of the floor and began dancing to the upbeat music. People began coming closer to us and dancing with us. I wasn't paying much attention to who we were dancing with but for the first time since the masquerade party, I was actually having fun.
"I need a break. Can we go get another drink." I asked her as I was out of breath.
"Yeah, let's go!" She said and we walked off the dance floor and back to the bar. I ordered a cosmo and began drinking it. "Where are the guys?"
"No doubt they're watching us from somewhere," I said ask sipped my drink.
"I want to go find them." She said and I followed her to the back of the club where the seating area was. I spotted Stephen and he was drinking and making conversation with the bartender. "Hey! Having fun?" Rose asked as we approached him. I looked around but couldn't see Andy anywhere.
"Yeah, I suppose so. I hope you two are enjoying your night out," he said. I continued to search for Andy but this place was packed so I couldn't see very far.
"We are! It's so nice to be out again." Rose said.
"Where's Andy?" I asked and Stephen frowned slightly and pointed in a general direction of the couches. I walked away from them and towards where I expected Andy to be. When I finally saw him I was shocked to see some girl sitting on his lap. I felt my blood boil and my hand clench around the glass. Who was this tramp on him? I saw him smiling at her and then they began kissing. It felt like my heart sank. I walked closer to them so he could clearly see me.
"Hey, Vi. How's your night going?" He asked casually. I was furious.
"Don't 'hey Vi' me. What are you doing?" I asked angrily. He looked at me confused.
"Sitting down. I made a new friend. Meet Becca."
"Andy what the hell! I've literally been living in the same house as you for weeks. I'm practically your girlfriend and you're here kissing this tramp? You said I was, yours." I felt sadness wash over my anger. I could punch him in the face right now. I was starting to see what appealed to Rose so much when she slapped him.
"You are mine. I never said I was yours." He said.
