Shipwrecked (Lawlorff)

XXIII

(Matt's POV)

We are headed to the waterpark! I'm so excited! 

This might even be Jc and my first date....

"Jc.." I whisper into his ear.

He looks at me and then quickly looks away. Sam and Kian are in the row in front of us, cuddling together and giggling about some random cute thing they always seem to talk about.

"Mmm?" Jc whispers back, clearly trying his best not to get Kian and Sam to notice our new relationship.

"Can I count this as our first date?" I say as sofly as I can. 

He rapidly glances at Kian and Sam, positioned in the row in front of us, oblivious to what's going on back here.

As soon as he's checked no one's watching us, he uses his hand to shield his whisper and leans in to my ear.

"Yes," he says and then kisses my cheek, still shielding the spot in which he "whispered".

He turns away from me immediately as to not draw attention upon ourselves and sits absentmindedly for the rest of the car ride. We see the frame of the waterslides in the distance and the boys in front get overly excited. 

"There it is!" Sam squeals.

It's nice seeing him happy for once. Every other time I talked to him before this trip, he was clearly depressed and I felt sorry for him. But now, I see, as everyone else should, that all he needed all along was his Kian.

And he's got him now, that's for damn sure.

Kian pulls Sam to his chest and he nestles in. I feel temptations inside me arising to do the same to Jc, but I can't. We've made the descision on both parts, completely mutual and benificial to both of us. 

I can't just out our relationship.

He'll hate me.

I'm the one who wanted to keep it a secret in the first place, after all.

I'd be a complete hyprocrit. 

I look at him. His eyes, his goddamn gorgeous eyes. His hair, his fluffy curly quiffed perfection on his head. His smile, that makes me so happy.

I can't take this anymore.

I grab his shirt's collar and pull him in to a kiss.

There's no turning back now.
